Finally! This was exactly what I needed, thanks!

This works perfectly, thank you so much for posting the vid!! I took an extra step and set the grips for the "F1" move point to '0' so that I cant accidentally pic it and move the satellite text independently out of its perfect orbit around the block.

I just create a construction line and use a coincident constraint between the midpoint of the construction line and the insertion point of the text or attribute. Then use the construction line in the stretch, rotate or move action. The action only moved the construction line which in turn drags the text or attribute along with it but does not rotate it. Alternatively you can also use a horizontal constraint on the line, or use a construction circle instead of a line, and so forth. See what works best. You can get pretty creative with this method. You can also use construction lines to eliminate all the constraints after exploding the block. Construction lines are invisible in the block. Just build a frame with construction lines then constrain your visible geometry to the frame (never to other geometry). When blocks are exploded construction lines are automatically deleted, and along with them, the constraints are also deleted. So you end up with nice clean geometry after exploding the block.

Is it necessary for the block to be on the origin for this to work

Is there a version from someone who's not that cool and adds a few words for the picture? I understand it's for advanced users and I'm only discovering actions of dynamic blocks, but i've done it like for 10 times and it's not working with me and I can't find out if it's because i'm missing some step (beyond brains yes) and which one is it.
