Attention! This video contains mistakes: 4:26 - the tightening torque is 5 Nm, not 9 Nm. 5:41 - the tightening torque is 196 Nm, not 75 Nm. 7:25 - the tightening torque is 30 Nm, not 40 Nm. We're sorry for the inconvenience 🙇‍♂

Very informative, greased up where the brake pads slide but not the actual sliders for the caller only down side. Many one of reasons for brake squeal if not moving freely.

You are absolutely right, there are some points that were missed. In the future, in new videos, we will definitely add this information for our viewers, as well as start using a torque wrench indicating all tightening torques. Thank you for sharing your experience, it will be very useful information for us and our viewers.

Make sure you check the torque settings they get them wrong and can cost greatly

Most major brake disc manafacturer highly discourage the use of copper grease on the back of discs joining the hub on modern vehicles.

Better than not using anything at all. I just fighted with mine with a lump hammer smashing the f**k out of them with extreme force to knock them off after I unbolt everything. They were welded onto the hub and rusted on really tight. There's a reason you use copper grease....to prevent what I just went through on mine. I sprayed copper grease so next time that won't be a problem. Ignore what u heard its misinformation from manufacturers who know nothing about aging vehicles and parts. They also say transmission fluid lasts the lifetime of the car but ask any mechanic and they'll tell you it's a load of shite! Manufacturers aren't mechanics who work on aging vehicles. Also dealership mechanics are all cowboys. They probably wear suits and shiny boots while working on customers cars lol!

@@davidgilligan4535 the temperature in brakes systems are very high so the best to use is engine oil. Copper grease will vanish in first few brakes

@Kielan92 Copper grease retains its anti sieze properties well over 1000°c any time I have disassembled a disc that it has been used on it is still there and makes the job far easier and cleaner.

These videos are, in general, great, but this one has some errors in the torque settings, most seriously the brake carrier bolt setting which says 75Nm, whereas Audi's specifications say 196Nm. You should really consider changing this. Also, it would be helpful to note the brake version that this video applies to. I believe that this car is brake option 1LA, whereas the more common model is 1LT. The brake calipers are quite different (for instance hex bolts used for calipers on the 1LT), although according to Audi, the torques are the same for both types.

Are those the correct torque specs for the b8 a4 because it says 75 nm but I’ve seen some people say 150+. When I did 75nm it seems tight enough.

3:40 - this part is missing the hardest thing which is release of the breake disc that is really sticking well with the wheel hub. Brute force here will only do damage. Easiest way to loosen it is to use a screw with a nut inserted into the empty place where the yoke is mounted and gently loosen it in several places by turning the disc. Like thsi one guy does here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ppd2iLuq1ZfMaGg.html

Receiving a car with wrong rotation tyre and delivering back with the same wrong rotation tyre is what we can call professionals. In heavy rain thet can cause accidents leading to death. 😮

Very poor use of the torque wrench, when getting close to the specification you need to slow down and stop when it clicks, on many occasions in the video he kept tightening it up quite a way past the click. Also, spraying copper grease on the disc :S either paint it on with a brush or spray it on the mating face on the wheel, no need to risk contamination on the disc by spraying it like that (even if he made an attempt to wipe it off, there will still be residual left on there). Also, torque specs not correct. You really should take this video down and change the graphics, 75Nm vs 196Nm is.a huge difference. A shame as without the music and these errors, this would have been a brilliant video.
