In today's video we review the Autoglym Polar Blast snow foam.
It can be applied using a pressure washer or foam gun. It covers the vehicle in a nice blanket of foam that clings to paintwork to gently loosen dirt and grime.
Snow foams like this reduce the risk of scratches and swirl marks caused by a sponge or wash mitt moving over heavy contamination.
It has a pH neutral formulation that will not remove any existing layers of polish or wax.

Snowfoam doesn't clean the car mate. It only removes the loose dirt to help prevent swirls and scratches during a contact wash. Still requires a contact wash after a foam, a good dry and then if you get water makes use a detailing spray to help removed them. Or a top up spray wax to keep it gleaming and protected for longer

I probably didn’t say the right words but yeah I know it’s only to lift and remove the dirt pre wax and that there are many other processes too. I definitely need to now use a detailer for sure. Not sure I’d do many more videos like this ever again 😂 I’m not a detailer but I guess you’ve also got to be careful to not give the wrong advice or at least be super clear with certain things.

@@PeakPerformanceReviews im not a detailer either mate, and washing a car "properly" all the time is too much hard work for my lazy ass. Used to do it all the time but its not exactly a 100k car so I gave up and only detail it twice a year now

This is good stuff I use it most washes. I never use it as a touchless was though as it's only designed as a prewash, even with ceramic coat and ceramic spray. Can you adjust the foam lance water ratio? Possibly the twist knob on top will get you a nice thick foam that will sit for a while.

Yes bud you can, I’m going to have more of a play with it on a few more of my cars this week. It really goes a long way but I’m going to increase the ratio a tiny bit from 40cl to about 50-60ish. Autoglym say 100cl but I hear that’s super thick haha

@@PeakPerformanceReviews The Aussie bottle says to use 100mL of Polar Blast per 500mL of water but I use about 150mL per 900mL of water. I have a 1L measured bottle and go a bit over Litre. Plenty thick. I could probably use less too.

Polar blast is meant to be THICK as you leave it to dwell on the car for 10 mins. That mix was far to watery fella. Snow foam is meant to be thick hence the name FOAM lol but all round good video

I’m not the only person I know that hasn’t been impressed by it tbh, I wouldn’t go for it again although it’s still decent overall for sure 🫶

Drying a car with a towel after just a snowfoam and rinse really hurts my eyes lol. For the water marks Koch Chemie FSE spray will deal with those.

I rinsed it first but it’s also already has had a wax so it’s smooth. There shouldn’t be dirt there now so I can’t see where the scratches or problems can come from? But I get your concerns but I’m sure you’ll tell me otherwise and what I’ve done wrong ...... p.s I’m not a detailer .... I guess thank goodness hey haha I’ll give that Koch Chemie a go thanks fella 👍 must have some hard water where we are I think

@@PeakPerformanceReviews Rinsing it first wouldn't make any difference. There will be dirt there because you haven't washed the car, you've only rinsed it and blown over with snowfoam, you haven't contact washed it. The scratches and problems you're having is due to you are not decontaminating the paintwork, then not actually contact washing the car then leaving it to dry causing the water marks. On this video you are drying the paintwork on already dirty scaled up paintwork with a cheap drying towel. I'm not preaching fella, there's no right or wrong but just how much time you/we take to clean our cars. Might be a good idea to watch a few videos on how to do a decent maintenance contact wash.

Marios mpos insanely...... (cough cough money) you should use both. Blast first then wash after than polar seal to finish. Imo polar blast is better at removing dirt so go with that, then a polar seal after or a good wax. If you don’t do both if you are like me in a hard water area you can get horrible water spotting if you can dry quick enough.

I’ve tried this product with the same pressure washer. It did nothing. Even 50/50 mix in the bottle the car was invisible under a thick layer of this stuff and it didn’t even remove dirty puddle water. Explain😂

How often do you clean your car and has it been clean throughly or not for some time? It doesn’t work miracles haha to be honest it’s really just for taking of light dirt and contaminants, it’s one part of a pre wash. I would personally also still use a shampoo after this unless you clean a car very regularly.

It’s less than a year old and has the auto glym life shine treatment before we bought it in September and since then has been washed 3 times with this stuff. Sits for hours on the drive but does nothing for the car

The more pressure your pressure washer has the better foam you will get you also need a proper foam lance wit a copper topper on it the karcher one he is using is not good for that

Just found this video to see how the foam was… I too have the karcher k2 and lance, but I used the polar wash. I will say the wash on its own even with the foam and not using a mitt, is absolutely rubbish! It literally made the car look shinier but the base dirt was still there! So I saw the same results as you, very poor product if you ask me especially if you used the foam and even that is meant to shift dirt

Yeah definitely the same, I’ve found you have to use products with fair strength if you need the most dirt off. Meguirs gold class is good and works well as a foam ice now found 🙌✅😎

I normally Snowfoam and leave to soak Pressure wash Snowfoam and wash with lamb wool mit Rinse Wet wax Rinse Dry

Yeah you can adjust to how you want really I have played about with it loads now and adjusted a lot, I like thick mix personally 👍

seamus judge about 100ml seems about right, it never gives a lasting thick solution as such like some others but you have to adjust the speed and flow on the Karcher lance and it works better I find.

@@PeakPerformanceReviews I found that, it seemed as if the washer was putting to much water through and diluting the mix. I'll have to drive through a few puddles today so I have an excuse to wash the car lol cheers bro

Yeah it does if you don’t get it right, I’m much happier now with the mix but yeah it’s definitely not as thick as a lot of other brands out there and doesn’t hang for anywhere near the 10 minutes people recommend, haha yes any excuse, weather here is horrible right now
