war thunder should really add the option to manually reload instead of having to shoot the shell to reload it (like in world of tanks how if you press the shell type key twitch it switches the current shell loaded out with the shell you want.)

@Phly this tank is all about putting yourself into the right situations. Its not about charging head on into the enemy team dumping 3 rounds and then retreating (thats gonna get you killed... a lot), like the way you tried to play it here. This tank is about flanking, popping up in an unexpected location and then waxing tanks that are focused on whats in front of them. You need to know the spot you're going to before the battle starts and you hit W, when you get there you need to stay hidden and patient waiting for the battle to develop so that attentions are firmly fixed elsewhere, then you need to pick your moment and strike focusing on making each shot count and not shooting sloppy because you're relying on the auto loader to save your ass after a bad hit or miss. Thats really the way this tank should be used, as a flank assassin. This is going to be one of, if not the highest skill cap tanks in the game and Im excited as hekk to get my hands on it!!!!!!!!!

Also Phly, you can toggle the secondary gunner's specific sight. Makes it a lot easier when using tanks with secondaries.

That thing is one of the few awesome tanks I really want to try out. That and that derp tank. I don't mind that reload because in RB you taking out potentially 3 tanks is pretty great.... it needed a weakness. I do want to see that recoiless tank as well. Bring it on.

Glad that WT finally have auto loader tank. Auto loader are meant for flanking and quick assasination taticts. Usually it goes with another auto loader and a normal or 2 mt. You unload your shells and the mt going with you will cover your retreat.

They should code it so that your loader can load shells individually when you have a down minute. So you fired a shell but have some time so your loader pops another shell in the auto loader. If you initiate it your gun is down for the reload, but it only takes 10 seconds per shell say. You should also be able to go into single shell loading as well. The auto loader could be its own module as well and if it gets damaged you have to load manually too.

Phly, test out that killer starting TD with like 125mm APHE shells. Really interested in that, could make your low tier in high tier challenges really fun too!

Be cool if they could add the Muas with the conceptualized dual 88mm turret. I have no idea how close such a design came but I do believe it was planned. It would be terrible against other heavy tanks but could shred everything else with two shots that can easily pen and do some fair damage.

The Chi-Ri seems to play like a less derpy KV-2. The ability to dish out worlds of pain in a matter of seconds, but it needs good solid cover where it can reload for half a minute.

The reason the crew do not reload a partially emptied clip is because of the tank commander actively requiring different type rounds as removing from a clip takes more time than loading a new set. Unless it was revolver based

I think the tank should be in a state of constant reloading... filling up the missing shells in the time between firings... I can't imagine a tank crew waiting till they're out of rounds before reloading in an autoloader... but I really don't know much about the practice. xD

I hope they add in the O-I series...would be fun...but the French line would be VERY fun as well, the AMX-75-90, S-35CA & the likes.

world of Tanks is the same thing. Auto loaders are great for the short burst.... you poke out, fire, fire, fire... hide... wait for the long reload. often we force reload early when we are not planning on an immediate engagement... Now, this is going to get fun if they put in something like the AMX-13 series. the AMX-13 came in LOTS of configurations for guns. 13/75 with a 75mm autoloader with 2 six round drums... for a total of 12 75mm rounds ready to fire... and you could set them as all heat, all AP or combination AP and HE flipping betweend rums as needed. If a 75mm isn't enough, it also came in 90mm mode, 105mm mode. Picture having 12 75mm rounds able to fire once every 3 seconds... once empty run, hide, spend the next 2-3 min reloading the next 12 shells. LOL... and the AMX-13's are POPULAR lots of countries use them. Though being able to put even 8 105mm rounds down range in under 20 seconds... these glass cannons were insane ambush tanks.

some sources claim there was a plan to mount a apanese 88mm gun (developed from a Japanese 88mm AA gun) on the Chi-Ri, claiming it as the Chi-Ri Kai project or something, other's claim it's a fake on the other hand there's the Ho-Ri, casemate TD based on the Chi-Ri, which is currently not in the release tree and was planned in 3 versions (one similar to a Jagdtiger, another similar to a Ferdinand and another similar to the second but with sloped armor in the front, each with more armor than the previous) and at least 2 supposed to mount a experimental 105mm gun, with 15º of depression did I mention that, like the Chi-Ri 75mm gun, this gun uses a semi-autoloading mechanism? shells were automatically rammed into the breach but human loaders placed them on the "clip/magazine" from wich the mechanism would load them into the gun

I have developed a strategy when using the CHI-RI II play with caution in the tank, 1v1s or 1v2 at the most then head back and reload fix your tank

Phly! You and 1 friend with an auto loader. He attacks, moves back, You move up, attack, move back, and the 2 of you keep trading off. Simple but effective way to use an auto loader.

It's not that new, it's the magazine system for the SPAAs with adjusted times, very brilliant though.

Yes, play arcade! Lead the charge, Phly! If you do it, arcade will be cool again. I listened to MGB and tried going back. Arcade is way more chill. Nice way to relax and fall in love with the game again. One tip: turn off names except on mouseover. Helps a lot with the overcluttering you get in AB tanks.

The Panther should have a faster reload rate, the 7,5cm L/70 has a feature that ejects the shell and locks open the breech after firing.

I always hated when certain crew members would never go to the right places when another crewmember was killed. It was the worst in the M2A2 because if the secondary gunner or the 7.62 gun or whatever caliber it is gets taken down the Main gunner on the 50 cal aka the only thing that can penetrate anything at that teir will replace him and the 50 cal is no longer usable because the crew members wont replace it.

Idk the mechanics of war thunder but best practice is keep a full clip if possible. For example you just killed 1-2 tanks reload. If you killed 1 and nothing's going on reload. You don't want to hit the long reload while in the heat of things.

Its a shame that there is not the TVP T 50/51 in WT. It is a Czechislovakian tank with autoloader (15 rounds/minute). In WoT this tank is already implemented.
