Time for another Japanese Tank video with the Chi-Ri-II in War Thunder! This tank is pretty OK!
The Chi Ri 2 is a 5.0 tank in the Japanese tech tree. It houses the same cannon as the Chi-Nu-II but with one very significant change... it has an auto loader! Also, not to mention a wee baby 37mm gun in the hull too!
Befriending the tank is the A7M1 Premium. This thing is a glorious kite with some awesome guns and cannons. It's such a joy to fly and does incredibly well at lower altitudes. Whenever I see one of these in my Spitfire, I start to panic!

@@Bialy_1 Or APHE decided to warp into black hole because it's Gaijin's game. I'm dead serious it happened to me before, at first I thought I missed but it went straight into armor even on server replay. Gaijin needs better hamsters for their servers.

Yeah, most players think the tank is bad and I don't know why, the gun is good with decent reload, the armour is bad for 5.0 but the turret is quite "bouncy" if the enemy doesn't aim and the mobility is a little worse than the Sherman's.

@@constantinocampero6722 The problem with the Chi-Ri is it's just too big, and the penetration isn't that high you are going to bounce a lot of shells especially against Russians, the mobility is actually good but the tank is big and tall, and the armour is really bad even the Chi-To late has better armour.

The first half was all about "OK" shots, "OK" maneuvers, and "OK I'm just a little too late to flank quite a lot of these players!" Probably the most OK video OddBawZ will ever make for a long time!

The Reppuu is a fantastic plane on both iterations. Especially since it doesn't run out of cannon ammo the moment you as much as look at a bad guy. That song reminds me, rest in peace Ennio Morricone.

In that Kuban game where your team did a big push on C all I could think was "oh they are doing really well on that front, now if I watch the mini map 90% of them will keep pushing and then get taken out by spawn protected vehicles". It makes me sad that I was right... happens almost every time, when will people figure out to not do that and either defend caps or push other caps where their team is struggling... Really enjoying watching your videos btw it sounds like you are having some fun making them, keep up the good work.

Some advice for Kuban. I always like to go on the far northern edge. There is a really nice ridge that lets you watch both A and B while also giving you a good opportunity to cut off the entire northern side of the map from respawns. It's also nice to go there in SPAA because hellcats and bulldogs like to go there

From what little I have played the tech tree, I would describe the Japanese ww2 tanks as a gun looking for a tank. Mobility is decent but not great, armor is severely lacking, machine guns are useless. It really makes you appreciate the US putting .50s on everything big enough to carry one.

Great video! Incidentally, currently the Chi Ri's tray racks are a bit buggy in that it takes longer to replenish the tray (15 seconds per shell plus 4 second replenishment delay for first shell) than it does to load the gun from the turret ready rack (8 seconds), which is odd given the amount of action the loader would require in real life to load from rack to tray would in fact be much less than to open the breech, load from rack, close the breech.

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day. The Chi-Ri-II is my katana.

Odd, you obviously know better than me but I want to give you this little advice, don't take a lot of shells with any Japanese tank because your sides are vulnerable and if you manage to pen a tank they are basically dead so you won't need more than 20 shells, and also the Chi-Ri 2 can get ammo rack if someone shoots the 37mm ammo.

What you can do with this tank is to cover up the hull mounted 37mm with a bush and bait people into pushing you. Not a lot of people face this tank so they usually are unaware

The ones on the A7 got buffed, they fly faster and have much better damage. They slap the wings off P-47's now a bit more easily.

Every Samurai has two Swords. Katana and Wakizashi. like this Tank. 😁 I had a hard time with that thing. Pened from everywhere. But the small gun is good to Trick the enemy. Shoot it and the other guy thought u reloading but then: the Katana strikes!
