Thank you for your explanation on how these sensors work, it is a big help in troubleshooting the fuel rail pressure sensor that's been giving me fits. Well done. 👍

This is really really helpful and I'm so glad I found your channel. I have a Hall effect sensor that is serving as the vehicle speed sensor, detecting the teeth of a tone ring that rotates with the rear drive shaft. It's currently not installed in the vehicle, so I can't test it with the PCM, but when I power it with a 9V battery, I either get a signal of 0.6V or 0.1V when a ring tooth is in position underneath it. Should I be getting the full 9V through the sensor when there is no metal present? Does this mean my sensor is faulty?

On a 3 wire sensors that is ground side activated, how do you test the ground without a bi directional scanner?

What about a 4 wire sensor? For example a 4 wire pressure sensor with a built in temp sensor.

Thank you . This for any sensor has 3 pin ?

No, this is for analog sensors. Most position sensors. Throttle, accelerator pedal, EGR, HVAC doors, shift motors, etc.

What if i have 5volts at pcm and at sensor on the vref and .21 at the sensor koeo (in spec acc to ford) but there is no change in the sensor voltage at cranking and its a no start (injection control pressure sensor).

I've already changed the sensor and no joy

Hello Sir How are you Your video very helpful But 1 question in my mind Please tell me How can we make this sensor testing white board Please share this waring daigram with explained Then we can make this tester Please sir.

hello sir I hoppe you can help my with my task the thing is I tryed to use potenciometer to by preciseli 500k potenciometer on 4 pin GM Ignition Module originali I wanted to retard my ignition timing because in winter I have starting problems and the original ignition module uses the mc 3334 ic chip so it has lot restrictions the wires I used were speaker wire sadly I didnt have any thing ells so I did in fact retarded ignition timing but engine didnt reali run great I did fire at exaust stroke not at compresion how ever so I ques wires and resistance in those speaker wire were to much great from ignition module to cabine potenciometer and back to ignition module . So I hade mostli wrong components. So my question is how to solve that problem with wire reaistance or is there other way to force ic chips like 555 timers to phase shift frequency to specific range? or ignition coil manipulation or pick up coil disruptive circuet or similar? I looked at those remote controled relays so Im not shure wuld that work or not. Also I considered to use dual 4 pin GM Ignition Modules I tested them and indead 1 pick up coil can fire 2x GM Ignition Modules now I have problem I actuali dont know what wires to use and what resistor or capacitor type to use to get at least close desired fiering angel degree for pulsed dc out put??? Thats what confuses my honestly about sensors and inductors in general how are they phase shifted???
