Damn this is great info! I do return trips from Glasgow to London almost every month and getting £60-70 tickets is possible but not easy. Both Superfare and Club Avanti I need to check out for sure

You can also take west midlands trains from euston to crewe, change platform to northern trains or transport for wales to Manchester piccadilly. Mad cheap. It takes 2 hours 8 minutes to crewe and 45 mins to manchester but if you're not in a hurry, you save money.

And it's still much faster than a coach, plus you got declassified first class seats on the LNWR train, so it's a win-win!
