Thanks old boy! Good to see clips of Dunblane and Strathaven. And even Elgin, which used to be my “big town” when I lived up north… I like the 15 minute city concept but maybe be it’s slanted towards those who can afford to live in certain parts of a city. Compare and contrast Shawlands (where I am) with nearby Castlemilk. Still no supermarket up there despite years of promises. So non-car folk have to get an expensive taxi back up from Toryglen… keep up the good work my friend 👍

this is my local line, at one of the train stops they are considering about closing a level crossing for EWR, which will suck, since i cycle to school that way. I do hope they don't close it. Also, the LNWR class 350s have declasified first class, so you can be a little bit more comfortable when you ride the trains. I am glad this nice little line is getting more traction. I got some fun facts, Woburn sands station used to have a plastic works right outside of the station, which is now replaced by housing. Fenny stratford is the leased used station in all of buckinghamshire, battling out with the princes Risborough shuttle. however, aspley guise and i think kempston hardwick used to be the least used, aspley guise is especially weird since it does have a quite small settlement, but, woburn sands is right near by. I do quite like the 150s, especially in that gorgeious new MV livery, seing it in person was crazy for the first time

Ah nice - you came to Bedford, my hometown. I can’t blame you for leaving as soon as possible after arriving! EWR will be an important part of the regional infrastructure for the Oxford-Cambridge arc. Its closure back in the 60s has probably ended up costing us more money in lost economic growth and rebuilding costs. It’s also a shame the route is not being electrified from construction, but it’s better than nothing. Thanks for the well researched video

With a lot of 1980s rolling stock being phased out im surpirsed at how many sprinters are still running both class 150s and 156s. Goes to show just how reliable these units are. On GWR they are coping way better than the Networker tubos that replaced the pacers on the Avocet line.

Hi there, I just want to say that I enjoyed your video. By the way, you mentioned the SL4 Superloop bus using the new Silvertown tunnel. Did you know that TFL also chose the 129 bus to use the tunnel and to terminate at Gallions Reach via City Airport and Beckton. And would you ever consider trying that bus out when it's running? Also the 108 still holds a special to me because it's my local bus, I live 5 minutes away from the bus stop. I still don't like the section between Stratford and Poplar due to how small and slow the roads are, I personally prefer the Bromley By Bow section because it's quicker outside peak. But that's me. I also think TFL should select more buses to use the new tunnel like the new 335 bus. Just like the 129 it's designed to support other buses around the area. Also the 129 bus has an interesting history where it was originally an East London bus and the became a South East London bus even though it barely went anywhere for such a long time.

Should come to sussex. Theres a bus service that runs from Brighton to Portsmouth, but you have to get a different bus 3 times. 700 from Brighton to Chichester. Then another 700 from Chichester to Bognor Regis, then change again @ Bognor to Portsmouth!

I love your videos. I'm 53 now, but I used to explore the Tube, trains and buses in the 1980s like you do now. Just one request: I don't drive, so I have never learned feet, inches, yards. acres... If you could also give distances/areas in metres, kilometres, hectares, as well, that would make your videos go from 99 per cent great to 100 per cent great. All the best, mate. Happy exploring!

On match days the 108 goes to Stratford Bus Station and doesn’t serve Stratford International. And on days when there’s no overnight Jubilee Line service it goes on diversionnnon stop from Bow to Tower Bridge then back to line of route.
