www.aveda.com/hair-care/pramas... Add a few minutes to your hair care regimen to use the Pramāsana 3-step system that focuses on exfoliating, cleansing, and protecting the scalp. Mo of MoKnowsHair demonstrates the 3-steps of Aveda Pramāsana with Jessica to show how easy it is to do at home.
Exfoliate by massaging the scalp with the Pramāsana Exfoliating Scalp Brush. The bristles of the brush are designed to massage the scalp without tangling hair. Part hair into sections to cleanse the scalp with the Purifying Scalp Cleanser for a clean foundation. Mo rinses out with warm water, then washes hair with Aveda Brilliant Shampoo to remove build up from the hair. Strengthen, repair, and replenish hair with Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo to maintain the moisture balance of the hair. Preserve the scalp’s natural protective barrier and help protect from pollution by applying Pramāsana Protective Scalp Concentrate. Treat your scalp as skin for more balanced and beautiful hair.

OMG! I have different hair than the model shown as we ALL have hair problems (men/women, old/young etc) but I really needed help figuring out how to use this product. This video was soooooo helpful. I think the overuse of products and never doing a proper cleansing has led me to "scalp pain." Thank you! Thank you for this incredibly helpful video. I am letting the product sit now. Heavenly.

I purchased the pramasana scalp cleanser... I didn't purchase the protective scalp concentrate because, I didn't think I needed it due to the fact that I don't have scalp issues, but I was looking for something to cleanse my scalp because I do co-wash my hair on alternate weeks. I'm wondering now if I should purchase the psc...

It sounds like Pramasana Scalp Cleanser was just what you needed, Cara. It can certainly be used without the other Pramasana products. We hope this helps, and we'd also love the opportunity to personally assist. We're here at bit.ly/AVLiveChatUS when you have a chance. ^cs

Can I do step one on wet or damp hair as the brush won't go through my curly hair. Also, my hair is dry, would adding this routine to my hair regimen make my hair and scalp even dryer? Shall I just use the brush but not the products to avoid dryness?
@aveda
@aveda 4 жыл бұрын
We're glad you asked, Omnia. You'll want to use the Pramasana Scalp Brush when the hair is dry, and you don't need to pull the brush all the way through your curly hair. It's designed specifically for the scalp area, as Mo demonstrates in the video. Both Pramasana products help bring balance to the scalp, and can be a great choice when dryness is a concern. We'd love the opportunity to connect directly in order to answer your questions and assist with personalized recommendations for your hair's unique needs. How often should you do the treatment?
@aveda

We recommend using the Exfoliating Scalp Brush before cleansing, the Purifying Scalp Cleanser every time you wash your hair and the Protective Scalp Concentrate as often as needed. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions. ^jr

are you suppose to put the cleanser on dry hair as demonstrated, or can it be used on wet or dry hair?

Would this help my scalp psoriasis?
@aveda
@aveda 7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jane- We do not typically test on people with specific skin conditions such as psoriasis. However, you can try Pramāsana and see if you get the results you desire. The brush and cleanser are very gentle and should help with exfoliating and removing dry surface cells. The concentrate will feel cooling and refreshing and will help get excess sebum under control. ^jr

Can we keep the cleanser on the hair for around an hour (45 mins or so) before we wash off? Or do we have to instantly wash it off?

Does this brush detangle in any capacity?
@aveda
@aveda 3 жыл бұрын
The looped bristles of the Pramasana Exfoliating Scalp Brush massage the scalp without tangling hair. But, if you're specifically looking to detangle hair, we recommend the Aveda Wooden Paddle Brush. Hold the brush vertically to detangle or horizontally to smooth during blow-drying. Explore at aveda.cm/PaddleBrush, and tap the Live Chat tab to connect directly with a product Advisor while you shop.

I went in for the Pramasana™ Scalp & Hair Experience at the Aveda Institute in Austin, TX and I got a shampoo, mask, and blow dry. I didn't get any of the above treatments and definitely did not feel like I received any type of scalp treatment. Plus she had me laying in the shampoo chair and basin the whole time which was extremely uncomfortable! When she asked me how my scalp felt, I told her I was still waiting for a scalp treatment. She did not seem very concerned about my comment as she just said, "oh".
