This upcoming version of Avengers in Avengers 5 isn't all that surprising. Way back in issue number 16 of the original Avengers comic, The big guns at the time decided to leave the team, which was Iron man, Thor and Giant Man. That had left Captain America. He had to form a new team. He chose Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quickslver. Most people seem to forget about how less of a team that was and the comic went that way for almost a year before Giant man decided to come back. Just making the point that this newer Avengers team is going to be pretty high power over all if it ends up being that actual team.

They need Strange and Thor for sure. I personally think Shang-Chi should also be a major player. Maybe Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Bucky, and Captain Marvel too. And if the story allows, Wanda and Vision.

Gotta get Thor and Hawkeye in there too, they're still active! Really hoping Shang-Chi gets in there too, along with Black Panther, Dr Strange, Captain Marvel, etc. There's no way they limit the team to only 5 members when there's still sooo many popular characters floating around in the MCU.

Hulk, Thor, Sam, Carol, Hawkeye, Shuri, Shang chi, Spiderman, and Moon knight. She-hulk , Scott, and Wasp are reserves. Wong gathers them. War Machine is still not recovered.

Well, there's gonna be more than five, we know this. Gonna have to be an Iron Man type, probably the real Rhodie. Frankly, I'm expecting Shang Chi as well--if you're not gonna have Wanda or Doc Strange, you gotta have someone at least sorta tied to magic.

Marvel needs to learn to use it’s less popular characters to fill in gaps where they don’t actually have enough movie relevance. The comics and animated shows did this all the time and it worked great. The live action movies take really cheap shortcuts and aren’t very crafty with the characters.

Interesting line-up - good that they're transitioning some TV figures to the big screen - re Hulk, I'd like to see at least one scene where we see the separate personas of Bruce and Hulk confront each other - this was left hanging since Infinity War; after that we only heard Bruce's side - so it would tie up a loose end to let "the other guy", who we got to know so well in Ragnarok, have his own say on how that worked out, at least a few minutes

I don't understand why people are tripping. Are they not just using the characters that are left before the whole Secret Wars / end of multiverse changes and combines universes. When its over there is more likely to be a more "appealing " Avengers team. Probably Captain America, War Machine, She Hulk, Hurcules, Photon, Antman and Wasp. With a casual Spider-Man

I don't think it's a weird line up. Hulk and Spider-Man make perfect sense. I can't stress enough, about how important it is for Hulk and Spider-Man to lead the lines at this stage. Coming up to reboot. I suppose Sam Wilson is the new Captain America, but even if he was still Falcon it would still kind of make sense. That leaves She-Hulk and Moon Knight. Well I guess they're kind of new Comer's. Concept. This is good...

I just don't feel this will be the line up. I feel it should be (let's just say 5): Sam Wilson's Captain America The Hulk Spiderman Shang Chi [Somebody fill this spot for me pls] Moon Knight, I feel must have a necessary role, but I feel he should remain in his solo profile to an extent that he does i.e. not to be an upfront major member for Avengers 5.

That’s a weird assortment. 2 hulks is a lot if there are only 5. Although it can be the ‘avengers’ but with some X-men. Or Shang-chi etc. (Deadpool? :) ) I don’t mind she hulk as long as the mood of the movie is more grounded vs the show and she more or less keeps with that mood.

Come to think of it, I never seen Tom holland Spider-Man interact with the hulk or his cousin, I’m actually looking forward it. So far so good. But I feel like there should be 3 additional members that should be added. Like Dr strange, Thor ( since he’s still active) and Chang chi.

No Shang Chi is a dang shame. I thought he was a lock. He was in the scene with Smart Hulk, Captain Marvel, Wong. He's too big of a name to be part of the new Defenders. Though his fighting style would be amazing to see with Daredevil or Iron Fist.

@@robertcoggeshall3071 That was in his movie at the end, and we haven't seen him since, Shang Chi was just another movie rushed out to meet the quantity quota. No one is really invested in that character; Carol is another character that was just thrown into the mix. Most fans don't care about Carol. Who is she to invite anyone to the Avengers? She doesn't even like being around people. Hulk is poorly written these days. The writing is all over the place in the MCU right now. Shang Chi deserved a better origin story, too much Katie and his sister, and act 3 was horrible.

The Two Hulk's seem a bit of an overkill, and Moon Knight doesn't seem to fit, at least not as a main character. No Dr. Strange, Thor, War Machine, Capt. Marvel.... hell, or even Wong or Ant-Man? Again, as a Main Characters.... but Moon Knight and She Hulk?? 😑 I dunno man... I dunno.

My team if the mcu made different choices. Sam as falcon as his own character as the original falcon. Tigra, tchalla, Hawkeye Clint, war machine, commander Steve rogers as the leader and I would have carol dancers ms marvel before kamal khan become ms marvel after dancers takes the captain marvel title.Later on I would have had falcon become the new captain america.

I hope they DO take this opportunity to repair the damage they did to She-Hulk with that show. She's SUPPOSED to be a solid B-Lister with a title the other characters can let their hair down and act silly in... not a rabid man hating alcoholic that couldn't get laid on Rikers Island. Seriously... the MCU will be worse off if they never use that character again just because of that show's woke ass writing team. Actors'll read whatever you give 'em. You want a better She-Hulk? Give her a better script. If she wants to keep makin' Marvel money, it'll become her Gospel... and, on that subject, she should probably stop talkin' all that smack in real life. As an actor, all you have to say is, "I just read the script". You don't HAVE to take a bullet for it...
