avia, congrats, keep going in the right direction! i would say though, it's not bad to spend time in the negative. all kinds of grieving (validate your feelings) can help with acceptance/ resilience later, when you inevitably bump into things you can't control.

Whenever you get negative comments just know its coming from their own internal dialogue about themselves and the world around them. They do it for shock factor because the only way they've received attention in the past is when they lashed out negatively to someone. It might have been taught to them during childhood in one way or another. Since posting on social media myself over the years (I'm 29 now) I've noticed this pattern. Its pretty freeing when you realize it has nothing to do with you. You are both beautiful and smart young women don't let any of the negativity get to you

I feel like making friends really is as easy as they say it is, it’s true. The only issue I face is finding people who give you that feeling of connection. But If you want to talk to people just do it like what’s there to lose? You could literally make their day by just a compliment I used to be so so so so anti social, but ever since the end of high school and the beginning of uni idk what clicked; maybe it was my changed mindset. But we truly underestimate how kindness can go a long way, it makes you look good and people will naturally be drawn to you (when it comes from the heart!) So my biggest advice is just be nice and genuine. Be yourself and everything will fall into place

I know you guys get this A LOT, especially coming from OG shaytard subscribers, but this is like watching the kids you babysat for 5+ years and seeing them all grown up. 😮 As you get older, you realize that quality in friendships is much more important than quantity. It's cliche, but true. It's especially hard to make friends as an adult because I have friends that are now married and have kids and while you still value those friendships, it becomes different in a way because their priorities have shifted. For example, you want to hang out, but they can't because their baby is sick or they have a date night with their husband.
