I expect this will be the last video wrapping up "what it is like to keep finches". Many thanks to everyone who has watched the videos - you have been a bigger part of the journey than you know!

Hello An, It was so lovely to see your Dad 😍 But I am soooo sad to hear this is to be your last video. I do hope, as you continue to care for your beautiful birds, that you film sometimes and share more footage. I just love to see you and your birds daily lives, so beautiful, interesting and relaxing. And if not, I am going to have to start again with your first video and watch all the way through for the 3rd time hehe. Sending you lots of love from Scotland and thank you very very much for sharing your beautiful birds and aviary with all of us, I really love your videos very much 🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍

Hi An, please rethink that decision. I’m a big fan of your videos from the very beginning. I started without any bird breeding experience just 2.5yrs ago and started right away with cordon blues. Never had any “easier” species. It’s definitely because of your videos I currently breed them with success for the second consecutive year already. You’ve seen them come by from the Netherlands at fb 😊 I’ve rewatched a lot of your videos, took lots of notes and applied it with success. Also experienced a peaceful vibe in every video which I enjoyed a lot. Also Peter and Mollie became celebs to me haha. Looking forward to your next video. For example about the violet eared waxbills. ;-)

First off- congratulations on your success with the Cordon Blues- if you can breed them, almost every other species (I have worked with) will be more similar than different. Thats wonderful. Thank you for the kind words! It really means a lot to think I have been helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know. For now, I need to focus on my Dad but it turns out there are some interesting bird things happening this year so I may very well have more to share later….

The aviary is beautiful!!! Well done. I would love to know how you plan on keeping it cleaned? Maybe i missed something in the construction process. Do you power wash everything off? is there a drain to hose out the water ponds/rivers or, do you somehow have the water going through a filter to clean/purify? I would love to know what kind of artifical plants you used to avoid all from being shredded . I love this and would love to use some of your ideas. I too would love to see update videos on this aviary. Thank you

Hello, Peter from Norway again, have you stopped posting videos? I miss them. Have you heard of Paul de Niel from Belgium, he is among the biggest in finch breeding. He gives many lectures for bird associations, he has a recipe for feeding food for finches, he boils the seeds for 5-7 minutes, he says that it increases the nutritional value by 2-300%, you avoid the problem of germinated seeds that they become bad .
@Echosaviary
@Echosaviary 11 ай бұрын
Hi Peter, for the moment, yes, I have a lot to do with my Dad moving in so videos are just too time consuming. My Black-cheeked waxbills came from Mr. DeNil! I have read that boiling seeds can be preferable over sprouting to avoid possible fermenting and contamination.
