Geez, the poor kid must’ve fallen from a height or crushed by something heavy to sustain a pelvis break. That’s quite a serious injury to have to wait four days since the risk of blood clots could be life threatening. Glad you were able to transport him safely to a hospital. 👍🏻

Back in the 70's when I was studying to become a paramedic,,,, we were taught that the first 90 minutes of a trauma determined to final outcome of how the person healed. 4 days is a real long time. Prayers for healing and a healthy long life.

Nice flight, as always, Ryan, and prayers for the young man to make a full and fast recovery. 6-8 hrs hike is easily twice that with a stretcher, and that and the long wait must have been agony. I hope you'll be able to update us on his condition and recovery, and he even has the incentive of kicking around with a rugby ball now! The real blessing of such a versatile aircraft and skilled pilot is the ability to get help to those in need.

Heyup Ryan (from yorkshire) a friend and i were flying back to ulaanbaatar from ulgii in the west altai region of mongolia, when we were diverted to pick up an injured youngster, he was in bad shape. The other thing that concerned us was the way half the passengers lit up their cigarettes just yards from the aircraft while they were loading the poor lad on board.

I tried flying between 2 random PNG airports at night time in MSFS. That was probably the most intense sim flight I ever went on! Only a little moonlight reflecting off the trees below made for a crazy flight lol

Thanks for this video! It really shows that your job is very important for those people out there. Thinking about the people in Germany who are complaining in the ER after 1 hour of waiting time. I don't know how to say it exactly, but we should always think outside the box. Did he lay down in the plane or did he took a seat? Braking the pelvis is very painful and every movement hurts. Great job and smooth landing!

@@MissionaryBushPilot I’m actually considered monocular 😊 and so couldn’t fly commercially ☹️but that was never the reason I had trouble finding the airports!!!! Was always surprised to see it loom ahead. And the odd time it wasn’t where it should be proved my dead reconning wasn’t what it should be!!! PTL for GPS and the Kodak which is a remarkable plane to fly

This is crazy even with GPS and modern Nav aids. 40 or 50 years ago it must have been insane. Very easy to have got lost with just a map.

Hi Ryan I've got a suggestion I would love to see your long continuous flights (an hour or more) used as studying relaxation videos. Lo-fi music on a long video that may seem monotonous would be relaxing and wonderful.
