Aviation Ramstein | TWILIGHT: E-3, C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Landing & Take-Off,...

back at Ramstein Air Base. We recorded these clips during the last weeks - mostly in the twilight and in the afternoon. Watch the full video - there was really a great light in many clips.
The United States Air Force E-3G 75-0558 552nd Air Control Wing/964th Airborne Warning and Control Squadron is currently at Ramstein Air Base for TDY for Astral Knight 2020. Some days ago it had a compressor stall or bird strike and was not able to fly because of the damage but luckily they have repared the damage and the E-3G was able to continue her missions. I also heard that the crew had some trouble with the COVID-19 isolation rules. The "G" in E-3G stands for the newest version version of communicaton and electronic equipment.

Some of my personal highlights:
- USAF E-3G Sentry (75-0558) arrival with screaming engine sound
- Atlas Air 747 (N496MC) in the great evening light after the sun was down
- USAF C-17 (00-0172) arriving in the morning - like a black shadow comming over you
- USAF C-17 03-3118 close-up departure with full engine thrust - what a sound!
- USAF C-5 (84-0061) rolling and starting in the evening
- The "Night Train To Memphis" :-) - Did you find it?

Yup. Nothing like a classic 707, with those comically small engines (compared to modern airliners). The angle of the shot was perfect.

The Omni 772 is part of what’s called “Patriot Express”. Regular flights from Germany to Baltimore, chartered by the US Dept of Defense to transport military, contractors and families between Europe and the United States. It’s been a regular thing for decades.

558 was my jet. My blood is still inside him. He always had radar problems, but was a good flier. I still have scars on my body though...so its a very strange feeling still seeing him. He was the Ostrich. Big black and white flightless bird. Well, that ostrich learned and still is flying! Thank you posting this. You cannot imagine what Im feeling. Thank you.

Mega, dass es wieder neues Material gibt! Ich fand den Abgasstrahl der 747 vorm Abendrot klasse, habe direkt das Nighttrain-Decal entdeckt und noch ein Decal bei der selben Maschine auf dem Höhenleitwerk unter Tailband und Serial, konnte es aber nicht entziffern. Sehr geil, dass ihr von so vielen Standorten gedreht habt👍🏻 Für die aktuell 18 dislikes wünsche ich mir ne Erklärung🤔 Falls ihr mögt, könnt ihr das Video ja mal im Flugzeugforum im Thread "Flugbetrieb Ramstein 2020" posten, da gibt es bestimmt dankbare und interessierte Abnehmer🙂 Bin schon gespannt auf das nächste Video, Glückwunsch zum Fang der Sentry!

Came here for the wildlife: 5:47 a rabbit scampering in the center of the screen just below the Galaxy while a fox appears on the right before it starts galloping to the left.
