Very good explanation.. 👍👍👍.. I do not own any ozone wing but I actually believe them and their rating system much better than any other wing manufacturer.. my next wing when timea comes will be definitely a ozone wing..

This has been great! I was wondering about whether you could find a “low” B to start on. Thank you.

I’m a beginner and I have a spyder 3 (24m). I love it. It’s very easy to launch and feels safe in mile turbulence but it’s sporty and fun

Why are you saying the Spyder is EN-B rated when it only has DGAC?
@meteoroz Жыл бұрын
What EN categories did the Spyder fail, which pushed it into the B class rather than A?

Does glide ratio change as we move from A to D? For example do A wings have a higher glide ratio compared to D wings or is it the other way around?
@aviator4 жыл бұрын
Bob Diaz other way around! We’ll release our final video on this next week, more info to come!

Excellent video. Cheers chris. Are the EN rating certificates or test results available publicly. Like a list of al 23 tests for a particular wing and how it performed? Who is the company that actually carries out the certification?
@aviator4 жыл бұрын
adrian23483 yes! The test results are easily found on the web

What if you wanted to start paragliding and then to paramotoring?
@ryguyfly91714 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure Ozone has plenty of wings that work for both! I have the Ozone Roadster 3 which I believe the manual says can be used for either activity. EDIT: However, you may want to consider the weight as a factor. I have the 24m, but without the motor, I might be too light on that wing to paraglide safely.
@gorgo24 жыл бұрын
Pretty much any EN A low B normal paraglider can be used with a motor, specially to learn since you're not going XC. But you could get a glider with trims, such as the mojo pwr or the kona. Also in my experience pilots who come from free flight have better ground handling skills, wich also translates into flight
@aviator4 жыл бұрын
The Ozone Kona 2 is perfect for this, and my choice often when I’m setting students up who plan to do both. It’s a power version of the popular Buzz. Super solid and stupidly lifty

@@gorgo2 Everytone wants to XC tho and a lot of pilots stiock with an a or b and go across country all the time in fact for years.

Which size and type of wing would you recommend for a beginner trike pilot and why??? Cheers.
@aviator4 жыл бұрын
That all depends on your weight, equipment weight, and the elevation you're launching from.

Were looking at the Luna trike and the Ozone wing andParajet motor
@aviator4 жыл бұрын
@@jedironsidemccabe The Luna is AMAZING but sadly not legal to fly in the US without a pilot's license. I'd look at the Eco 2 Lite with the RMZ 500. We just got a new one in, it's legal and I love it!

Good video for the information part of ti, but I don't like the bias at all. I mean really, 2 specific wings mentioned in a video about how to choose the right wing? There are dozens and dozens of comparable wings, brands, choices, other factors like flying style plans, XC, PPG/PG use, multiple pilot use, altitude, windiness in your area, humidity, launch sites, etc, etc. this does NOT cover anything but 2 wings? me no like.
