additional tips: if you can't get enough sleep the night before an exam, don't sleep at all it will keep you focused in the morning but you'll be tired by the afternoon so if your test is in the morning, which is usually the case, this could work.

1h ? Finals in France (basically the French Baccalaureate in June) are super long, philosophy 4h, history/geography 3h, physics/chemistry 3h30, biology/geology 3h30, maths 4h, first language 3h, second language 2h, french literature/language 4h + 10 min oral presentation (all of this is for scientific classes, the three main class sections in high school are economic, scientific, and literature)
@hinimee4363

Lizy KIM In my contry the Baccalaureate is 3 Hours for math and the national language and you have to choose an extra subject (any subject,except art ,P.e and other easy ones ) which is also 3 hours.Tje finals are like an hour in my country or national language ,2.I hate maths , btw

Here in New Zealand it depends on how many papers you are sitting in each subject. In each subject you can sit between 1 to 3 papers. Each paper is one hour so if you only have 1 paper then it's 1 hour, 2 papers = 2 hours, 3 papers = 3 hours etc.

I was never able to get a full mark on all of my math tests despite how easy the questions are because of my careless mistakes, they've really put down my confidence when it comes down to math, especially with timed tests, even if I enjoy the subject thoroughly. It always feels like I have to pt 120% of my brain power to get them right or they WON'T be right because I know I'll make a careless mistake anyway. Here's to hoping I can finally get full marks on my stats and be as efficient as I want to be with solving questions!

Tip for anyone in physics: I came across this method on tumblr that really helps me when learning it's called the GUESS method. Identify the G(iven), then write a little question mark next to the U(known). Write down the E(quation) that has most of the variables available, then look back at notes and write thoroughly the S(teps), and finally you'll have a S(olution). My physics teacher personally gives me most of the points if she sees these steps on a quiz and she greatly appreciates it because then she is able to help me when I go and ask for help or clarification and it makes learning less stressful.

Aaron Domanais try holding your writing utensil in a different way, and practicing your handwriting from there. I had the same issue. Try using different writing utensils, too. For me, the skinnier the pencil/ pen, and thinner the tip (0.38mm), makes me have MUCH better handwriting

Haha, this video literally came at just the right time! I have a physics test coming up this week which I need to pass with a high grade, so I'll definitely employ these tips! I have noticed throughout the past four years that my one big mistake when it comes to maths is switching or misreading the signs. I'll be so sure of it being right, then I find out it's wrong and I can't figure out why, so I ask my teacher and straight away she points out a sign error. -.- I always feel so stupid after that because I know the method- it was just a silly little sign error that threw the whole problem off. Thanks for your advice, as always! =)

yessssssss! for physics always, ALWAYS, write down each and every step. NO JOKE. I got a problem wrong because I forgot to sketch down the scenario. I thought it was pathetic but no lie, sketching out the scenario helps so much with which formula you should use.

I have a Calculus final on Tuesday and our teach is giving us a 110 point quiz in the 90 minutes so I am studying so much! It is like 6 chapters worth of lessons (about 7-8 lessons each chapter)

I'm taking AP calc ab this year and I have so much trouble with math especially since our teacher doesn't explain concepts, so thank you so much for the tips!! Also, do you have any tips for practicing an instrument, especially when you feel unmotivated and don't have time? Thanks!!
