Maybe we should get tourism board make an announcement that this is normal. Also i'm at the beach, without any notice why would i bring money? There was miscommunication at around @4:38 when she said " so you both has to send the police" the Filipino guy misunderstood it and thought these 2 are going to call the police. Then maybe he went and tell the Filipino lady that and that's what upset her. It all escalated from there. But it's definitely wrong (actually maybe a crime) for that woman to threaten these 2 foreigners.

Boat tours were canceled 7 out of 8 days we were at El Nido during Christmas break. We did land tours on most days that we weren’t able to go on a boat tour. We saw did remote beach tours, zip lining, waterfalls, and a cave tour. I sympathize with you guys not really being able to experience the boat tour you paid for. We were only able to do tour B but had a blast especially since we got a private boat for 1800 Pesos per person and we had a group of 9. Our boat did the tour in reverse so we got to go to a sandbar early in the morning and had it all to ourselves.

I say they are scamming you for money guys, too bad you've met this kind of locals, nobody owns a beach 50mts up to shore, high or low tide. They may have structures but not the shore, well, using that video is good, one thing, never argue w/ scammers, just gather evidence, the video, some subscribers learning from that experience and so authorities will have attention from your experience, just take care, everywhere their are scoundrel people like that. There is a "tagalog" local word for "TAKE CARE" if translated means, "MAG-INGAT" or "ingat", again it means "take-care" 👀🧡🇵🇭👍

We’re not there, but thank you for the advice! Your family owns the property - but can you say if they own the beach by law as well? For example, like in our case, if we came by water and only stayed on the beach, not going further inland, are we allowed to stay on the beach? Because I tried searching online before posting the video and the only thing I could find is that all beaches are free to enter, even if the territory around it is privately owned.

FYI, it's not really their property because ALL BEACHES or SHORELINES starting from the Highest Tide Line going Inland for 200 Meters belong to the Government. No private ownership is allowed and no Structures are allowed as well. Everybody is allowed and freely to walk around. I hope this will not happen again in the future. Tnx and have some fun.

Rule #1 when visiting a foreign country. Follow the rules. Dont make your own. You're just visitors. The locals own the country, not you. So just go with it .

The beach was indeed a private property because as you can see the pigs are roaming freely.

Can you also translate what the woman said when she was calling the guy? Was she telling him to bring a knife?

She wanted to intimidate you because trespassed her private property. I myself would not allow any strangers to enter my personal property. Machetes here in the Philippines are used in every day chores like chopping firewood.

But why did you really enter her private property? I am curious. You might do something naughty in other people's property. Don't be an intruder next time.

@@karlbasallote6719 an “intruder” becomes a dear and valued guest once he pays the money there. Which is not unique to Philippines, tourist are scammed like that in many countries. Let’s not continue this further. Have a good day, Karl.
