Good video. I am having problem with my Megarevo settings. I used self consume and battery priority because i dont have BMS communication and the inverter is constantly charging from the grid and not the PV. I think based on your video i should just use Peak Shift and set the charge and discharge times. I just cant understand why it would stop charging from PV to use the Grid, it makes no sense.

Yah they should update the software to set it as produktion not konsumption.........so what I do is use a VEVOR 1000Watt Grid Tie inverter then I run it through an Importia Smart Plug to getmy Solar Produktion but the issue is is that I have an Emporia View 16 in my servise panel and that reads it as Konsumption Not Produktion...... What would be Nise is if I kould take the value of the Smart Plug and Flip it to Mius and Not Positive....... Since the Grid Tie Inverter I have kan dump power on to the grid I make sure the output power is not more than my household konsumption so the power is konsumed by the house........for me to get an akkurate number I would have to multiply the smart Plug number by 2 then subtekt that from the total konsumption....... My house uses 160 watts at its lowest so I only have 300 watts of panels........ I would like to push power back onto the grid legally.

Thank you for the video. I'm contemplating buying these units but wanted to know if these issues you highlighted were resolved or being resolved. How has your experience been so far. Did you purchase the inverter directly from the megarevo manufacturer directly or a distributor. Did you reach out to megarevo to see if the CT on grid and insulation test off grid issues could be resolved through a firmware update.

What would you consider the maximum length of a CT sensor cable? and does it need to be re-zeroed in theory if the length of the cable is extended?

Hey i have 4 Seplos 280 mason enclosures with their 200a bms units. They by default are set for rs485 PylonTech. Can you please help me get comms working? I get the error and it is not detecting the batteries. Do i need a special rj45? Which port out of the 6 should i plug into? Which on the Seplos? Rs485 or CAN? Thank you for the assist!!

If the inverter is between the grid and the load I believe at least some of their inverters can. Of course this one makes it easier as it can just use CT’s to see how the power is flowing.

how is the megarevo working for you? what will be the best usecase net metering/gridtied or offgrid? where i live we dont have peak rates but we pay 30 cents all day...

If you have access to a reasonable net metering program a standard grid tie inverter would be a little less expensive. But if they won’t give you hardly anything for excess generation storing some in a battery could pay off reasonably quick with those electricity rates. My inverter has held up well to my abuse all things considered.

@@BeeneEnergy yeah in Puerto Rico we have really good net metering program but we also suffer from a lot of blackouts so i was looking for both solutions in one.

Ah yeah, so I haven't used the mode but you should be able to set it to battery priority. Keep the battery topped off, feed the rest to the grid. Then when the grid drops out you have a full battery ready to go.

when you mentioned that you charge the battery at 100 amps, is that 100amps DC or 100 amps AC???

It was 100a dc. On the battery side.

I’d buy it again for my uses. Just got to make sure it fits your use case scenario. Don’t assume it does everything a sol ark can do. I did connect some lighting circuits to it today and in off grid mode they aren’t flickering. That is apparently more a function of the quality of LED’s than it is the inverter though.

@@BeeneEnergy I want it but REALLY only need a 48v 3000-EHV. Wish the 6k 120/240v had 2 MPPT. Anyway....keep the vids crankin.

Yeah it's nice but if you don't need the grid backfeed features it could make sense to do an all in one instead. Which is probably what you're thinking.
