Hello. Voltage at Maximum Power (Vmpp)= 34.5 V Current at Maximum Power (Impp)= 9.59 A Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) = 40.2 V Short Circuit Current (Isc) = 10.1 A I have 2 monocrystalline solar panels worth 330W... How can you connect these 2 panels to this MPPT 60A solar controller? With serial connection or parallel connection? Because I looked at the device information, it is 12Volt. It says that the highest 80Volt input can be connected for the battery (VOC). (my 12.8v 200Ah I have a LiFePO4 battery) So should I use it only with parallel connection? I was confused and wanted to get precise information... Thanks.🙄😇

I wonder if you put mirrors behind the bi facial panel how many watts it would produce. I just ordered some 440 watt bifacials and im super excited. Bifacials are great for ground mount, which is what im going to do. It'll be interesting this winter when there's snow on the ground on a cold clear high pressure day

Do you have an Associates link for that? The problem I find with Amazon is there are so many search results that don't match what I'm searching for. "12v 100ah for $149" and right next to it "12v 50ah also for $149"... but is the 100ah really 100ah, or is it 50ah with some cleaver advertising. Yeah, price is a concern, and Amazon is really good at taking returns if things don't turn out the way you expected, but at the end of the day... I'd rather spend a little bit extra and give the difference to you to know what I'm getting the first time.

Maybe easiest way to weld from panels is to connect 5 or 6 panels one by one to get 200-250v of open circuit... And connect them to diode bridge of ark welder inverter. But only if inverter transforms ac to dc on the enter of power supply. Another way is to power up condenser's in arc inverter with low voltage but more amps (parallel the panels). And connect inverter in normal way too, to dc/ac inverter... But how about welder logic may works with that?? It's just suppose...

I'm wondering how the efficiency changes when the PV voltage is higher. In theory, the larger the difference between input and output voltage on a buck converter, the lower the efficiency.
@BeeneEnergy

I've actually got another couple videos where I was surprised to see the opposite. Efficiency went up when I ran with a higher voltage!

@@BeeneEnergy Thank you for your response! That is really strange, but happy to hear. This was the only reason why I was considering wiring 2x455W, 50voc panels in parallel in my 24V system, but that makes no sense now. Still a bit afraid of the 105V max input for a 24V system on the PowMr 60A. Not sure if that is 105Vmpp or 105Voc. Any experience with this?
@BeeneEnergy
@BeeneEnergy Ай бұрын
@@DrenImeraj If you’re that close you should keep it in parallel. 105v is voc so you’ll be bumping against it in cold weather. I realize that depends on your climate too but here in Texas I wouldn’t recommend it in series :).

@DrenImeraj Ай бұрын
@@BeeneEnergy Ahh, makes sense, thank you! Do you know the behavior of the controller when that is exceeded? Is there potential for a catastrophic failure?
@BeeneEnergy
@BeeneEnergy Ай бұрын
@@DrenImeraj Potential, yes I'm sure. I've observed it go just barely over voltage and the controller just stopped charging and threw an error for high PV voltage. I'm sure if it was high enough it'd burn something up.

in an ideal scenario of sun exposure (tilt angle, no shadows), and if you have a solar panel which is made for 12v system (~50-200w, 18v Open voltage, ~12-14v at typical amperage), a PWM controller is actually more efficient than messing around with MPPT. its impossible for a lot of people to admit since people spend so much money on MPPT systems that they have been told by someone very well informed will boost their panels efficiency. if you have a solar system that is almost perfectly spec'd for your battery, the MPP will naturally be around the ideal charging voltage at ideal amp draw of your battery system. and if that case is true the most optimal setup is actually to wire the solar panel directly to the battery. million reasons why you should never do this, but it might be worth testing just to show how its better than the most expensive MPPT controller in the world. a pwm is basically the same thing with a somewhat smart oscillating switch. if the battery is pretty low state of charge but still almost nominal voltage, like how most lithium chemistrys work (compared to lead/sodium), then the PWM controller will have a ~100% duty cycle and beside the tiny loss from the pwm controller itself, it will be the same as directly wiring to the battery with a safety swtich.

I have 28 panels, 305 watts each, with a solarEdge 7600H inverter. I want to add an AC coupled PowMr 10kw Hybrid inverter and batteries. Havent decided on the battery yet, or what size, maybe about 10kwh of battery backup. Solar currently goes into my main panel with a 40amp breaker. I'll need to put the solarEdge into my 100amp subpanel and the hybrid between that and the main panel. is PowMr 10k inverter good to handle all this?
@BeeneEnergy
@BeeneEnergy Ай бұрын
I have not messed with the powmr hybrid. Likely it’s a re badged product of another name so you might be able to find data on it if you can find what it is. Usually ac coupled inverters have to go into the generator port of the hybrid inverter. But some allow the ac coupled inverter on the load output like you are talking about.

Good luck with this cheap chinese made ampinvt controller. .. bought and started using it exactly a year ago (April, 2023) and just stopped charging with "stop" charging fault, so am switching over to a more expensive but industrial grade brand (victron) and should last for decades. Not recommended unless one's ok to waste $272.05 CA for a year's use. Customer support is non existence.
