I lost my 34yr old daughter 2 mos ago. She and I used to drive around listening only to Avril . Some of my best memories are with my girl listening to "Losing Grip" over and over. This was the song Avril most identified with and one of the first she wrote for the album. The record company wasn't too happy about it and got her to go back and write more songs with producers into more of a "pop rock" vibe. Glad she pushed to have it on the album, easily her best song.

This is the best thing she’s ever created. Halsey always makes music that’s relatable to us. We hear certain songs and love them because they resonate. This song was just for her. About her. And it just touched my soul for her and everything she’s having to go through. And as a 90s girl growing up thinking Britney Spears also wasn’t a real person just a perfect star I wanted to be like, This hits different!.
