Been back home for 1 week after spending 14 days in Oahu. Thank you so much!!!!!! Everything we ate were places you guys recommended. Never had a disappointing meal. We had everyday planned out and no matter where we went we ate at your recommendations. I will keep sharing your channel.

I didn’t like poi until my wife and I attended a lauhala weaving conference and attended the banquet and the friends told us to eat the poi with the lomi lomi salmon! What a great combination! I love it all! I just made kalua pork and chicken long rice! Another great vlog!

OMG! Guys My mouth watered all the way through that video...my absolute favourite is Pancakes (waffles not so bad either) but that chicken Felix was chowing down looked amazing too. Loved Maruju too in Aiea.All kinds of local plate lunches too.I missed Pasteles, pipikaula, squid luau, of course main Hawaiian fixings.Loved dipping them in poi or rice.Wish I could grab this through the computer screen.👍😉🥰

I had wanted to go for so long, I probably saw a video on Helena‘s over 10 years ago & finally went in May. Another great vid, love watching you guys! Helena’s was my personal favorite food on the trip, I knew the Pipikaula was going to blow our minds & it did! But the squid luau… it was honestly one of the most amazing things I’ve ever had, it’s like that ugly bowl of green just picked me up and gave me the warmest Hawaiian hug💚! My family really enjoyed our meal at Haleiwa Joe’s haiku gardens, I was hoping to try their squid luau but they were sold out by the time we were seated, next time! Vegan vid tip-Smoking Boar & the Coconut 🤙🏽

My friend just started working at the Broken Boundary Brewery in Kalihi. I know, it's not the usual places you go, but just thought we'd suggest. They serve tacos, and have a small menu. It's great how you guys help spread the word, about local business in Hawaii and soon around the world, once Covid gets under control. I also watch Food Fiend on youtube, another great local youtuber, that goes to a lot of local kine grindz. Keep doing your Thang! We enjoy vids a lot!

Here in Caliente (only 2 hrs from Las Vegas it can get hot, not as hot as LV though. Then my fave cooler is a root beer float; now its winter and I'm craving a milkshake made the old fashioned way. Great vid guys!

I Love Hawaiian Food! In the 80's, Ono Hawaiian Food restaurant WAS just around the corner from Dave's Ice Cream on Kapahulu and Date? I remember parking was hard to get. We enjoyed your trip to Helena's and Daves, Thank You.

Helena's is one of two of my favorite spots Hukilau Cafe in Laie is my other favorite spot. I am located in western pennsylvania but was stationed in hawaii during my time in the Marine Corps. My oldest boy was born at tripler army medical center. Lived at Aliamanu Military Reservation (The Crater). Great show I enjoy it very much.

Subscribed and binge watched your vlog food adventures in preparation to our trip to Oahu. Time to knack attack. You guys should setup a walking food crawl of Oahu grindz since Amanda have a background in tourism. Appreciate and enjoy not only the foodie spots but for educating me about Hawaii culture.

Another great pearl!!! Sounds so good , i have never been, but its on my list to try on my next visit home!! You should get points when your watchers drop by n say “ Amanda n Felix made us come try out this place!” We just returned from Maui and Dave’s ice cream looked like Lappert’s ice cream line… packed!! I feel bad when I see the food preparers working so hard to share Hawaii, and in return they get attitude or impatience. It’s like tourism went from 0 mph - 60 mph at half staff. Glad you repeat to stsy cslm. Chill. Breathe. 👍🏿💕 I remember Marujyu’s in pearl city used to make the best pickled mango. When the closed i was so sad. Then a food truck in front of Home Depot pearl city used to sell it ! I found that Home Maid Bakery on Maui sells it too! So good. Have you tried it? Where do you go to get pickled mango? Love the humor w the flames coming out of his head! 😂 great content!! Yay! Aloha! Mahalo!

I just left Hawaii yesterday and Helena’s was on my to eat list but I didn’t know they were closed Sat-Mon and I was sooooo sad!!! 😢 we were all over Oahu, wished we could’ve bumped into you guys. Aloha🤙 from Sacramento ❤️

Hey guys... I love your show and look forward to watching you guys every day.... I laugh every time you call Felix "cho-cho lips" ... that's what we used to call a lady's private part when we were kids... we call big lips "Jo-Jo lips".. to funny . I also wanted to thank you guys for helping me when I was going thru chemo and could not eat...I found it easier to get thru that hard time by watching you guys eat.. it was like I was eating what you guys were describing how it tasted. I'm ok now and I still look forward to watching you guys describe the flavors.... thank you.

You pronounced my name correctly. Lol, yes it can be a bit tough or just keep it short to “Sith” or LorSith 🤪😊. Halena’s my go to Hawaiian food. I need to visit the place soon. Thanks for featuring them. Lived in Thailand, Iran, Nebraska and now Hawaii for many decades.

I grew up in Kalihi eating at Helena’s when they were originally on King Street near Houghtailing. The quality is still the same....’ono! Pipikaula is my fave there!

I have been to Oahu 8 times and have never ate here. We spent two months there last year we rented a condo and would walk to Safeway to buy groceries and would see this on our way . I will have to try it next time
