Kuhio Grille opened in Honolulu in 2019, but before that they were known on the Big Island! You don't have to travel to outer island to try this local favorite!

This is the best Local Hawaiian Food channel I've seen so far. You guys go to places I haven't seen on other KZfaq channels on Hawaii. You guys are giving away deep secrets, Haha! Also I also love that other channel Ordinary Adventures, where Kitra drank the Chili Water. I LOL'd!!!

I ordered the ginger chicken today and it was good. The funny thing is when I ordered it the worker asked me to hold as she helped someone in the store. That guy said that he came here because of Amanda and Felix’s KZfaq channel. I laughed and told her the same for me. Thanks for the reviews and keep up the good work.

I live in Dallas, Texas. Last Week Monday the temperature was -2 degrees. Our house had no power. We huddled around the fireplace and we watched your videos (from Hawaii) to keep us thinking warm thoughts. Today, we will be reaching 70 degrees. Thanks for making these wonderful videos. Thanks for the tip on Kuhio grill.. the food was the best. I got the fried rice with the fried chicken and garlic sauce. And hubby got the ahi belly with the garlic sauce. Both was da bomb!!! And the chocolate dessert was heavenly. Love the recommendations.. I would have never known about this place without your episode.

Aloha Amanda & Felix. OMG, that ginger chicken looked so good. I've only eaten laulau once, it was chicken lau lau @ Ono Hawaiian Foods (now closed) and it was really good and the poi was good too. Oreo dessert looked yummy. You guys, I have such a huge list of places to try from your vlogs, I wish that December was here already. Also, gotta love the "rooster" sound you put in some of your vlogs :) What a beautiful sunset! I look forward to your future vlog on Helena's, they have great food.

Actually, Ono Hawaiian Foods reopened as Da Ono Hawaiian Foods. They are now run by the former workers of the original place. No idea if it's as good as the original since I haven't been back home in over a couple years.

When I was a child we used to put sugar until my teens then I stopped, my daughter who i taught how to cook she makes an amazing stew luau and her own lau lau that she cooks in her own imu pit in her backyard! She an amazing homemaker!

Oh man I saw that video of the people trying to drink the chili pepper water and I died laughing 🤣. Love laulau, poi, opihi (if you can find it), squid luau, Kalua pig...I guess all the Hawaiian foods. But sugar in poi is a no go. Just have taro pie. 😁

I just saw this video on Wednesday, and I live just down the street from Kuhio Grille, so went there on Thursday for the Fried Rice and Ginger Chicken special -- and it turns out it's been so popular (after Felix's recommendation?), they now have it on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! I also got the Oreo dessert (though the others Kelsey showed me also looked so 'ono!) and it was just as good as it looked in this video. Yummy! It was all enough for two meals for me. I think I'll try the Hawaiian plate next time, but there are so many other things on the menu that look 'ono, I'll have to work out a plan between my visits to my other nearby favorite, St. Louis Drive In. (Yes, I enjoyed your vlogs there and to W & M.)

Been meaning to try this place for a while, but haven’t had 5e chance to. Fave Hawaiian food... squid luau, pipikaula, lomi salmon mixed with good poi, kalua pig with poi, haupia, definitely no sugar in the poi... We love Helena’s food, but wish it were easier for parking. But we try every so often because we are friends with Craig, the current generation owner. Also love the Kaka’ako location of Highway Inn. Much easier for us because we have young children and takes time to load and unload them from the minivan...
