Can you try using this watch?reload=9&v=Df6kx8wmt0Y&t=12m50s and have EM feedback instead of audio feedback (sensitive within a certain spectrum depending on the feedback capacitor) ? This wouldn't be a self starting circuit like the Slayer, but presumably you could start it with a Slayer running nearby, or by feeding a starter signal directly ?

Just a small correction. You do not say 350 winding's. It sounds really out of place. You would say 350 TURNS rather. The definition of winding is the total amount of wire turns you have applied to a coil. However is a really good instructional video. I like it. Thumbs up.

Can the sound be fed back into the device then bring a glass near it. Ping the glass to have it self resonate to see if it can break the glass. Plus maybe 2 more coil can be place inside the secondary then insulate with resin. Than either hook them up in either parellel or series

Hey there, I hope someone might help me... I built a coil similar to the second one explained (with a transistor) and the voltage doesn't get higher than 9V (like the battery has), instead it should induce a much higher voltage. Could it be because my transistor broke during the soldering process (because of the heat)? Or is there another reason... Also, it should make an energy saving lamp glow through just holding it near the coil. But that doesn't work either...

hey there I hope someone might help me… I built a tesla coil similar to the second one you explain (with a transistor) and it never works. I tried it with multiple transistors because I thought the heat damaged them but there‘s still nothing new… The voltage was never above 10 volts (9 from the battery) and it didn‘t matter if the on off switch that I added as well was on or off it was just always about 9 volts so there‘s gotta be something wrong with it. I‘m quite desperate because I need that experiment for an important paper that I‘m writing for school so my future depends on it…

The letters after - refer to packages, but are the same micro, If you by a Atmega328p - pu it will probably NOT have a bootloader unless stated, it is best to assume that you will have to burn the bootloader yourself, this is easy and well documented.
