Hey Greg thats first piece you pulled up looks like a left side early harley davidson engine case. I build and restore old harleys and that definitely looks like it. If I were you I would do some research on it check the bottom for numbers. You could be sitting on a ton of money.

what is the pull weight of the caribiner? I would tie the cord to the magnet as a back up just in case you bend the carabiner while pulling it up on a heavy object ot it gets stuck.

I don’t personally understand the appeal but you seem to enjoy it and the video was interesting. I do a little blacksmith work as a hobby so I would want to make something out of the junk.
