This is how the relationship between Russia and the US should be. The countryside reminds me a lot of the rural northern states. Far more in common than different.

Rick Perkins when I saw the woobie come out, I knew right away that Sgt. Nate our a lot of care into those packages. I consider that the highest level of respect.

Nate is a nice guy. Most of the items were probably stolen from the military supply room, but he still had to pay for the shipping. I used to know a guy that worked on a military base and all the Christmas presents he gave people were things like steel toed army boots, and gun cleaning kits that he stole from the base. He worked in the supply room and got five finger discounts on the items.

And yes Lars, the Poncho liner is referred to as a woobie. Great job even knowing that. Most Americans don't know it. The woobie is a highly revered piece of gear and used for virtually everything except a poncho liner.

You said it perfectly, that was EPIC! What an awesome package full of awesome gear. I love to see deserving people get surprises like this, outstanding! I remember using those Gerber tools when I was in the Army, and they were not cheap. I didn't even know they made insect guard uniforms, I got out of the service 20 years ago. It would appear they have come a long way with some very cool new stuff. Congrats on the care package and it made me smile to see you unbox it. SSG Nate is a good man!

wow, thats is crazy. Thats some super great stuff. I think the gerber tool i have runs about $60.00. Nate must have been driving behind a gerber delivery truck when a crate fell out on the road. When americans give gifts, they like to go big.

Most of that is issued gear, like the Gerber tools, but soldiers cannot return it after deployment, it's just issued and treated as expendable. Lots of guys give them away or never use them at all. It's still an awesome gift considering the time involved and especially the cost to ship it though.

I want to thank Nate too, such kindness is great to see. What a chrismas present! The shipping alone would not have been cheap. Hope you get your printer licence soon Lars. I dont see you going for a centre fire printer, as in your terrain the need for long range heavy ink shots is not required, in my case the printers I have are more than adequate, .17" hmr for longer pages, and 22lr for short pages, the cartridges are much cheaper and lighter than big printer carts, and wont fly around everywhere if they miss the page..... I also have an air powered printer, its super quiet and can print small letters at 50+ mtrs with 25grn ink.. Gale force wind this morning, but settled down to blizzard snow now, it will be white tomorrow, coming from north, pretty cold.Log stove well stoked and house warm. All good in n scotland.... Norman.

Lars if you install a zipper in the woobie ( woo-be- cold without it) to pass your head through you can wear it with the poncho. Safety pin the SOL ( Survive Outdoors Longer company) reflective non crinkle 2 person blanket to the woobie with a head slit you have a multipurpose items. I siliconed my m65 especially the hood. I made a simple unattached fleece hood to wear with the poncho or the M65. We love your channel Lars. My regards to SSgt Nate.

SSgt Nate obviously feels you should be distributing the Gerbers into various kits, Vehicles, Hunting Camps, etc. FYI, those particular Gerbers can "Fling" the Plier Head out w/o opening the handles, which makes an AWESOME Self Defense Tool. I'd give one to Mrs. SR to carry when she goes into Town. Think "Kubaton". I'm sure the Pink Ninja can teach her a few moves. Enjoy the Booty!

My fist and last, try of Copenhagen tobacco was in school about 1982 . A "friend" gave me some in math class ......noplace to spit and the teacher saw me put it in....he stared at me as I got sicker and sicker. Finally I asked to go the the restroom and threw up. I walked home, about 10 miles and never tried that stuff again! I did like Levi Garrett though! Quit near 20 years ago now. Still can't stand Wintergreen or Mint of any kind!
