This is the best video featuring raccoon sounds that I've found. Not many have videos of family feeding, either. Fantastic video here!

Let y’all know this is a destress call … I heard some noise up in a tree, and I had a suspicion those pups where in the hollowed out hole. I played this the mother didn’t care how much noise she made… making some noise ..The pups started coming out the hole running up the trees she’s running down the tree, it was amazing. She started snatching them up and put them back in the hole.

Yep, that's definitely true - this video is basically right after the Mom brings the kits out to explore the big world for the first time (or one of the first times), about 3 months or so after they're born. So the kits aren't really sure what's what yet, and they're calling for Mom constantly because everything is new and scary to them at the moment - the technical term for the call is a 'querie/query call', because they're querying for Mom's position constantly.

They love peanut butter. We've been camping and the spot is just loaded with raccoons . One of them just let their babies out for the first time tonight. They're really close-knit.however they'll get jealous and start fighting over peanut butter sandwiches. They like bread but dip it in water because they don't salivate and have to moisten the bread to eat it.

Oh, I definitely do! This shot was from a motion sensor shot, so I wasn't actually there for this one - they also came at the end of the night, when there's a lot less food out.

I just threw some ammonia soaked tennis balls into their tree house & they made this exact noisy racket & left. I also hazed them with light & a 5 meter pole. They finally realized it was time to get out of Dodge...

That's horrible but probably necessary.

I tried to co-exist until they started dumpster diving. I bought a BB gun and it’s been a great learning experience for both sides. Don’t see them too often anymore and when I do, they maneuver like a well oiled infantry company moving on a bunker complex
@misterfunnybones11 ай бұрын
@@trenton73 They usually have a few dens that they keep nearby as they retreat. When you see them: ready, aim, fire. Be persistent & they'll leave for good.

As cute as these guys are.... They are predators and devastate other populations of game and farm animals. Especially chickens and turkey. Not many people in my area have been trapping or hunting in my area. Gotta control them or else they can do a lot of damage.
