Yerhh this motor and ESC combo seem to do really well in this rig. I put it in a lot of my Tamiya. Always fun to have so much power in these little awesome RC's. Cheers for tuning in.

That thing absolutely flies! The hotshot was my first RC back in 1986 and absolutely loved it, they can take a proper beating and still come back for more. It will be my next RC for sure.

Yerhh it is great. I didn't like it at first but as soon as you learn how it handles and operates it becomes a lot of fun. I really Hope they bring The Boomerang Back. I had one as a lad and loved it. Would really like a few like that, The Super Sabre too. Thanks for tuning in @Dwafyh32

That thing RIPS! The Hotshot Is my favorite Tamiya. Now I have to go brushless and let it run. I hope Tamiya rereleases the HotShot 2. ! Great video.

@@FullOnRC If not seen Modelsport in UK are remaking them so have some on order, I gave up trying to buy a set on eBay and modern alloy versions were about £50!

But the transmission must be worn out , the old tamiya were made for brushed motors 😅

N.p up to now and they are cheap as chips to replace. I have bug faith in these old designs tbh

Wow, that is fast! Bought my 8yo the re-release as I had one back in 1985 when pretty much our whole RC club changed to Hotshots after a muddy winter race meeting when anything 2wd struggled. What are you running in terms of electrical gear please? Just upgraded my son's to a Core RC 15t motor and hobbywing 1060 ESC which is plenty for him at the moment. Brushless and LiPo all new to me as stopped racing in the late 80s so appreciate any advice.

Great storey about the race meet. I am running a Max10 EZRun ESC and 4000kv motor in this on 2s. You can get cheaper ESC's and motor combo's from banggood for a third of the price. I have just bought some myself from Banggood and will be trying them out soon.
