@@FullOnRC Well you've probably built 80% of one considering they use the Hotshot gearboxes. 🙂

I had received a bonus from work in 1985 and went to a hobby store where I laid eyes on the Hot Shot and was hooked. I loved building and running it. (It was $300 then and about $700 in today's dollars.) Eventually, I stopped running it, and it sat for years before selling it. Now, I wish I had kept it.

Mine didn't really come to life until I swapped in a Tamiya gold motor. Then it compete with those Wild Ones and Hornets on the tracks. Before it was just too slow.

Yerhh the stock small motor is pants. Needs a little extra push for it to be fun. Enjoy yours.

Hi Paul, hope you’re keeping well. I think it sounds like my build of the Subaru Brat, I had to open all the bags to select the correct screws etc…when I was building the CC02 chassis, everything was in the bag on a per step range. I enjoy both methods, but I think the favourite would be getting stuck into all the bags, just makes you feel more absorbed into the build. The Hotshot, is a classic and what with the brushless motor setup, I’m sure it’s going to be a flying machine ! Great build video. Take care, keep well and all the best to you and the family 😉😊😁

@@kspectre21 Done a build video tonight, but the Go-pro crashed and lost all the footage on the Sd card...........Thought about stripping the back end back down and starting again, but could'nt face it.

A little known fact. Most people think that Tamiya gives a ton of grease in the kit. When in actual fact you're supposed to use all the grease on the build. If you have some left over you skimped. Cleverly this makes the build a bit of a strategy as you need to look through the manual first and see where and when you need grease before using too much in step 1 and have nothing left at step 378.

Cook. I use my own grease so I can lube it up as and when. Always felt like you don't get enough with the kits.

@@FullOnRC Yeah. Too right mate. Having left overs to "Save for later" is waaay not enough in the build. Love your work mate.

@Iron Maiden thanks pal. I use marine grease. Buy the bug pots. It's easy to clean out the gearbox when you run in sand and the packed in grease keeps it away from the gears. Thanks for tuning in.

Bet that's awesome. What type of bike do you ride? I have had a few sports bikes myself. Had a few Honda VFR's. Best years of my life when me and Steph used to ride about.
