Interesting information: The Republic of Turkey is not actually a Muslim country. Türkiye is a secular country and there is freedom of religion. A country that takes women's rights into consideration as well as religious freedom. Women have the freedom to wear whatever they want. I don't know why it is thought this way, but the number of people who prefer Islam only in Turkey is quite high. Türkiye is officially secular and not a Muslim country. (I heard this is also true for Indonesia)

I don't know anything about indonesia's history and their statehood process, so whatever I say it will be wrong. But for Turkey people forget one thing which is more important, there is the phrase "Islam" was written on the personal identity card in the section indicating the person's religion. Moreover, in the constitution of the Republic of Turkey, "Türkiye is an Islamic state." writer. This law is still written in the constitution of the Republic of Turkey and has not been changed. I don't understand why people from Turkey are ashamed to say that?

@@thebyozden There were times when the religions of people were written in their ID. It was written Islam, Christian or Jewish. But this changed.almost 20 years ago. Also, it is wrong that it is written "Türkiye is an Islamic state." That's simply not true. Islam is never written in the Constitution. It is written that Turkey is a secular state.

I love that! I've noticed many people from Turkey wanting to distance themselves from Islam because of the negative connotations the West keeps spreading about it. It's sad because Turks from the Ottoman Empire were proud of their culture, religion, and traditions, and they achieved so much. It seems to me like a desperate attempt to be liked by Westerners.

People misunderstand the “not a Muslim country” thing. It means the country is not ruled according to Islamic law and is secular. We are taught this since we are children so when we hear Muslim country we automatically want to correct the mistake. So they explain it like “we are a Muslim majority country, but not a Muslim country”. I wish people in the comments were more understanding. Like non-Muslims especially would have no reason to call their country a Muslim country.

Some people misunderstood the comments of Turks. As a Turk, I will make a statement: 89% of our country's population is Muslim. But our country is not a Muslim country, it is a secular and free republic. In other words, the state is not governed by religious rules, but by laws. And people can practice whatever religion they want. But in Turkey, the adhan is always called on time, and those who disrespect Islam and the Islamic book, the Quran, are punished, this is also valid for other religions.

I saw a lot of comments about Türkiye. So i want to explain this. Yes Turkey is Secular. and according to current statistics, 89% muslim. but this isnt true. Because everyone who is born is automatically registered as a muslim. (there are some reasons for this). I am a non-muslim Turk. and they wrote islam on my id. no one asked me. and they added as muslim to statistics. There are millions like me. Religious information doesnt appear in new IDs. but it is available digitally in the system. So people forget that they are even registered as muslims. Those who want to change mostly either do not want to make extra effort or postpone it due to current political reasons.

has been a lot of change and decline, especially in the last 10 years. There are many non-muslims, especially among young people. The ones that do exist are mostly just in name. Almost no different from deist. There are people who arent muslims even if they wear a headscarf. For political reasons, these issues are more sensitive for us than other countries. For this reason, it is quite normal to react to wrong information.

And this is a fact: unfortunately, Turkey has received a lot of immigration from muslim countries such as syria, afghanistan and pakistan, especially in recent years. Because of this and the current govern, it can be a very religious image. You can see mosques being built everywhere. But that doesn't represent the people. Those mosques are empty. and people are becoming increasingly secular. doesn't just say this secular people or side. So don't believe everything you see and hear. but this is the truth for those wondering.

We have seen these ladies before without the hijab on. Why did you ask the girls to wear headscarves if they don't normally wear them? It would have been better to let them wear what they normally wear to let the panel of Koreans and Japanese guessers know that not all Muslims dress the same. After the introduction of monotheism in our societies, men became gods; women became witches to be taken control of. The lesser gods became the angels. One of the angels became the satan. Why is it that god has to have a gender and why is it a he not a she? It is the women who are giving birth to new life. It is the men chasing after women trying to plant their seeds. If god has to have a gender, it is most likely to be a she giving birth to everything.

The Republic of Turkey is officially a secular country. The state has no religion, people do. The majority believe in Islam. Additionally, since our Republic was founded 100 years ago, many significant advancements have been made concerning women's rights. The Republic of Turkey was one of the first countries to grant women the right to vote and be elected, much earlier than many major European countries. Regarding attire, Turkish women are free to wear whatever they prefer, as it should be. This does not change regardless of one's religion. I wanted to write these things when I saw a related video ✨

Wrong, on wikipedia it write 86,7% islam, but due to the "Islam/Christian/etc-KTP" it means the atheist or folk religious people should write down their religion (6 recognized religion) on the ID card, most of them write Islam bcuz of the majority and then christian as the second, even tho they didnt practice it. Edit: the closer fact will be around 60-70% are devoted and active practitioner, buy the rest are irreligious, I mean just look at the Indonesian gen Z acts now, their worst atittudes tells it all.

Guys, why don't you understand the concept of "secular"? Secularism means keeping religion and state affairs separate from each other. and Turkiye is a secular country. You don't have to make them wear headscarves only for the purpose of this video cuz none of these girls wear headscarves on your regular videos. Hijab has a very religious & spiritual connotation. It's not just a piece of cloth or a stereotype of Muslim women. It would be much better if these girls were left alone to make that decision to whether wear it or not.

Turkey is a Muslim country only on paper. More than half of the country does not live according to Islamic rules. When I was born, they wrote Muslim on my identity card, but that does not make me a Muslim. This is the only reason why 98% of the population seems to be Muslim.

What you read is wrong. According to current statistics, 89%. but this isnt true. Because everyone who is born is automatically registered as a muslim. (there are some reasons for this). I am a non-muslim Turk. and they wrote islam on my identity card. no one asked me. and they added as muslim to statistics. There are millions like me. Religious information doesnt appear in the new IDs. but it is available digitally in the system. So people forget that they are even registered as muslims. Those who want to change mostly either do not want to make extra effort or postpone it due to current political reasons.

Türkiye is a muslim majority country at least %95 but there is a secular people also which they deny their own background. But turkish girl gave misleading information. As a turkish person i can guarantee historically and in present time Türkiye is a Muslim country. Please do not only listen individuals search and inform yourself only with truth. From Seljuks to Ottoman Empire and from Ottoman empire to modern Türkiye.

Camilerde ki cemaat sayısına, oruç tutmayan kitlenin büyüklüğüne, alkol kullanımına, gece hayatına bakmamız yeterli😂 Bu ülkenin % 70'i sözde müslüman. İnkar etmeniz gerçeği değiştirmiyor. Herkes istediğini giymekte, yaşama şeklinde özgür. Mini etek giyen de Türk kızı, tesettüre giren de. Biz İslam kurallarına göre yaşayan bi ülke değiliz. Osmanlı'da da böyleydi en dindar bilinen 2. Abdülhamid dahi içki içerdi, saray kayıtlarında mevcut.Kabullenin artık.

As a Turkish atheist in Turkey it's not a muslim country. I dont think that Turkey have a muslim majority. Peoples are considere as muslim when they born and then you wont be able to change that because of useless "heavy" bureocratic prossedures. I'm atheist but in my Id card I considere as muslim. That's why Turkey looks like having a muslim majority. Most of peoples are irreligious like me and most of "muslims" dont practice, their lifestyle like irreligious peoples. In my around we litterally bullying muslims. The real percentage of muslims less than %30 percent and most of them are old.Turks' understanding of Islam has always been different from other Islamic communities. The Turks' understanding of Islam is shaped within the framework of Alevi Bektashi culture, and I come from an Alevi background (my family is not Muslim). Alevi Bektashi culture also enables Muslims in our country to have a more open-minded base compared to other Islamic communities. In younger generation irreligious peoples percentage is around %80 percent. Our culture is quite different than islamic culture. Türkiye bir müslüman ülkesidir. Bir ülke hem laik hemde müslüman olmaz diyenler, laikliğin özü saygıdır ve dinde saygıyı gerektirir eğer saygı olmaz ise hiçbir şey olmaz... Benim bu ülkem ile ilgili yazdığım son yorumum çünkü her zaman gereksiz boş bir tartışma ortamı sadece biraz insan olalım yeter... Türkiye laik bir ülkedir ve müslüman, laiklik olmazsa Türkiye, Türkiye olmaz...
