I’m white with curly (3b-3c type) hair and people ask me all the time if it’s my natural hair. I’m Russian and even other Russians ask me this all the time. Koreans asked me that too. So I don’t get how it it offensive tbh. It’s not about race at all it’s about them being unfamiliar with curly hair or even admiring it.

Im Peruvian. Since we are children we are taught we need to greet every single person. The awkward point comes when you are an adult and you don’t know if the other person also kisses and hugs are just says hi with a smile and a wave on first meeting. Nowadays, I only go up close to greet people I’m close to, otherwise it’s just a hi and a wave.

As a Brazilian, I dont like greetings people like that if their are not close friends or family. If they like put a hand around me or something like that is very akward. Usually I stick with "hello!👋and If I'm wearing make up I try not to touch my face to others people faces. In a family gathering I greet everyone hugging and kissing because they are my relative but in a social meeting that I don't know everybody I don't bother. If you stay hugging more than 5 seconds is sus 😂 I remember I guy kissing my checks it was cute. Some can be creepy. If you not comfortable with these type of greetings wave your hans first so the person won't aoproch you, most of the time it works. I mean greet first waving your hands and nodding your head.

We are born listening western music and I don’t know anything about Indian music and I used to turn off tv when Indian classics played in national tv. One day my school organized Carnatic music in a open air auditorium frankly speaking I really loved the way they played instruments with out any songs made me to sit for 3 hours. I went to many shows in usa but I will not forget the childhood school show by Carnatic music mastero. Love from Philly usa.
