Thanks again you guys you do such terrific work.. I appreciate all the effort you put into these... I love the video you made of your van when it was so simple it was just a toilet and a bad and a couple other things I would do a simple conversion like that.. just practical things not a lot of fluff..kind of like using a bungee cord to support a cell phone and watch the movie. You really don't need all the bells & whistles!! We've met plenty of people getting by with nothing but a sleeping bag & camp stove in their honda accord, or their SUV with no seats and just a bed. Our first trip that inspired all this, we had borrowed a minivan and just threw our mattress in the back haha

Have you done a proper van tour yet, please? I can’t find one, nor can I find anything about how your bed works which is the bit I’m most interested in. Could you point me in the right direction?

We haven't made one yet, it's on our to-do list! Basically the last 24" of the bed are on a piano hinge so we can rotate it up 90 degrees and we have a latch on the edge that locks into a hole in our wall. Under that edge of the bed is 2 seats and a slide out bed. You can possibly see more of how it works in our video where I built the seats

Project Vagrant - Thank you. I presume the way you’ve done it means that the bed is unusable during the day when the footer is raised up. I was hoping you’d found a way to push it back so the header came up to rest against the back doors. Never mind. Enjoy your travels.

@@janemack1933 yeah it's a one or the other type deal. It's worked well for us. The reason I didn't want to raise the header up is because then you've got to deal with remaking the bed, where with raising the footing you don't have to

Project Vagrant - Thanks. I don’t know if you follow Eamon & Bec but the idea they’ve gone for in their new one is pretty amazing. The footer folds down to form the backrest of their bench seat. Very clever.
