Good work Aidan. If I'd known you were doing this I could have given you the book we were given when Ravenspark closed. It was haunted long before it shut.

Ive just randomly found this video,and it seems to me that Ravenspark as it eventually became to be known has a lot of sad history surrounding it.My ex partner worked there in the boiler room and was responsible for keeping the boilers stoked to provide heating in the hospital.The boiler room was separate from the rest of the building,and I remember him telling me that a previous worker there had died of an overdose in the little room/office part of the boiler room area and that it would be a good place to commit suicide because no one would know until the heating went down.My ex partner hanged himself in it,and sadly for the old guy who was to take over the shift,he found him there.It was an exceptionally hard and upsetting time for me and obviously for my ex partners family too and a time Id never want to repeat,seems like its a cursed building ,and I too would never want to live there.Thanks though for posting this x My partner took his life in 86 there :(

My mum worked there for years, there was a man who lived there his whole life who had nothing wrong with him, he was there so long that he couldn't leave.

I’m glad those buried in unmarked graves have a memorial. The authorities long ago seem to have thought it a potential scandal to put Catholics and Protestants together in death!

Remember going into this place with friends in the early 2000's. Must of been no older than about 10, still to this day its one of the most creepy places I have been inside of.

My mum worked there as an auxiliary nurse for years. Later on I worked there for a short time as a cleaner. What a sad place.

My gran worked here when she was younger, she has severe depression now and after watching this no wonder she has!

Very interesting, if occasionally melodramatic. My mother worked here as a cook for a couple of years in the mid 1950s before going into the licenced trade.

My mother (1928-2000) had a fear of ending up in Ravenspark - she called it the Poorhouse. She didn’t!

Would love to visit here. Can't beat abandoned places, most these days you can't get into though. Does this one have access? Great video mate.
