As an qualified Ayurvedic practitioner with Shalakya speciality (8 years clinical experience in my own hospital) I want to keep certain facts in public domain 1. Real Ayurvedic practice will be like practicing mathematics [No one can standardize mathematical skills of mathematicians coz it depends on their intelligence and experience as such is Ayurveda which depends on fundamentals Tridosha, Sapthadhatu and Trimala] 2. Vaidyas should have complete capability in making medicines on their own if needed unlike prescribing only ready to use medicines in other systems 3. He should have access to all green herbs in his surroundings required for treatments 4. Vaidya should posses skill in diagnosing each and every disease in terms of Ayurvedic concepts of pathology along with modern correlation [Prescribing Ayurvedic medication with Modern diagnosis is the major cause of failures in Ayurvedic practice Example - prescribing Nisakathakadi Kashayam for all Diabetes mellitus] 5. Last but not least application of knowledge with mere common sense and experience always lends success in clinical practice
