I'm a huge Sanchez fan. Unfortunate reading some of the comments. Nelson is a class act. Ever since this fight he's had nothing but the kindest words to say about Chava for almost 40 years. It's interesting reading comments left by people who are pretending as though they've actually watched this fight

I don't know Mario. Google 'Ring Magazine Best I Faced Azumah Nelson' and have a read. You may change your view once you do. Whilst he does not say anything disrespectful about Sanchez he refuses to give any credit, it's like Salvador Sanchez did not exist.

@@mariosanchez8236 Nelson had moments but Sanchez dominated the action going forward and countering.and Sanchez fights every second of every round.and Nelson was a journey man who are always fight fit.and Sanchez was a a disadvantage too.he just to finished camp for Mario Miranda who was like 22/0with 20kos or something like that he was tearing through the division anyways.plus the fact nelson was an unknown Sanchez may have looked past him or been complacent .so I don't like that two week theory either

Going into the 15th round Nelson was ahead on only one card. Official Judging Castellano 135 - 131 Reid 132 - 133 Aidala 134 - 131 Two Judges had Sanchez ahead. If Nelson went the distance, after the fifteen round, Sanchez would have won a unanimous decision with a two point round from Judge Reid.

I think at about the 4 or 5 round Sanchez sitting on his stool is asked something by his trainer and Sanchez with water in his mouth shrugs his shoulders then looks at his trainer and shakes his head like saying so what?, it's nothing. Yes I've seen that fight more than 20 times, in the last 30 seconds of the 4th round Salvador got caught with a very powerful left hook to the body that would certainly put anyone out, but Salvador took it like nothing. @@peacethroughstrength172 plain and simple it's excuses. And he wouldn't give Sanchez any credit in his 'best I faced' interview, not one word, and Sanchez died when Sanchez was 23. He never had a full life like Nelson has, cut way short. Maybe Nelson should think about that and the 40 odd years he's outlived Sanchez who was robbed of a life and future through that accident. Not too hard to give the deceased champ credit, but no it seems it is too hard for Nelson. Uncool in my view considering the lives of the two men and their outcomes, the life Nelson has had and the life that Sanchez didn't have.
