i agree the vtec system is a great one. But the JDm Pulsar VZr had the neo VVL valve timing system and got 200 hp from its 1.6 in N1 guise, compared to the ek9's 1.6 b16b 185hp. Im not even close to knowing alot about cars, but nissans first attempt was released at the same time as the ek9's vtec system, and was just as gd. to bad nissan doesnt make cars like that any more. (the GTR doesnt count, its turbo charged, and the 350z is massive 3.5 litres!!)

i prefer domestic over jdm anyday but im not saying i hate their engines... the only engines i do like are the ones actually putting out power ex K20 and H22 not your rice B16... that thing is like the truck 350 of V8s puts out shitty power but unlike the B16 the truck 350 has the same potential as a high output 350 truck 350 puts out a pitiful 200hp but puts out 300lbs tq at 4k rpms (that is the engine im my truck) B16a4 in 96-00 civ puts out 145hp not bad but only 116lbs tq

b16 just lacks the torque.. the head is better than the GSR's with its higher compression pistons, and all that crap. a gsr has the advantage due to its 1.8 liter only..

umm its a b16....which is dual cam...b18c dual cam also. pretty much the same motor but a bit difference in displacement and heads. know what your talking about before you post. either way they are both torque less wonders. im even talking shit about my own integra gsr.

actually K20's are the better engine, but whatever. also DSM's aren't that great. A buddy of mine that just moved up by me sold his TSI AWD Talon and is buyin two others, one TSI AWD and one not.
