Durant la guerre en Irak, en 2003, on voyait passer ces B52, par 3 ou 4, à la mi-journée, dans le Nord de la France. Ils avaient décollé de Grande Bretagne. Et, durant la nuit, on les entendait revenir se poser en GB, avec avoir largué leurs bombes. C'était assez impressionant de voir (car ils n'avaient pas encore atteint leur altitude de croisière), ces avions à 6 réacteurs, bourrés de bombes.

Wow..very impressive..the best clip of B-52 Ive seen on KZfaq..I'm always fascinated with anything to do with military..maybe a past life, that is one helluva beast and it takes up the whole width of the runway

I was there twice for 6 years the run way is over 12,500 feet. Jets can refuel on the flight line

I lived in upstate NY when Rome AFB was still active in 1989, 90. B52s flew over the area often. A beast of an aircraft for sure.

Late 70's in Atwater CA you could stand outside the fence; incoming landing strip. Their size shakes your body. We stared into the landing gear and would be high from sight and sound. Nothing has rivaled this run with them. CASTLE AIR FORCE BASE

Growing up in Orlando we would watch and listen and feel the thunder as they passed over our home during the 60s. Originally Pinecastle AFB renamed McCoy AFB after the colonel augured in.
