I've never seen anything that amounts to evidence of Cobb believing Ruth was black. Also, some of the insult names you have Ruth quoted as using seem far-fetched for that time period.

I also knew a German-American who was very, very light skinned, but as with Ruth, had thick lips and a broad nose, and in fact could have passed as a relative of Ruth's, as both had very similar facial looks.
