"BABY BUS" The Rare Airbus 318 From The Challenging Florence, Italy Airport

Join me on this rare journey on a nearly extinct aircraft type - the tiny Airbus 318 as we fly from the tight and challenging Florence Airport in Italy to Paris’ Charles De Gaulle Airport. There are only 10 A318s operating for airlines today and soon that number will be zero. As always, this is a fully narrated flight and if you like my narration, consider taking me with you on your next flight! A crisp video indeed..."Baby (Air-)Bus" on a short flight compared to those Long hauls that I experience when on direct, nonstop flight(s) from India to USA and back ! The weather admittedly may have been on the murky side, but, Peter, your brilliant narration superseded that ! We always get 'educated' on so many facets aviation has to offer ! Like they say, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", and Peter, YOU have given us a vision that perceives aspects far more than what meets the eye up front !!! Bravo ! Thanks...Grazie Mille !!!

I enjoyed my many hours flying the A319 and thought it was a sports car! often climbing out at more than 5,000 feet per minute, initially. The A318 must be just as spectacular in performance. Thanks for posting. Great explanations, as always.

I flew F-GUGM from LFPG-LSGG a few years ago. I quite enjoyed it because there were around 30 people aboard and very little fuel. The result was a frankly RIDICULOUS climb rate on departure even though we used a derate of ~FLEX +85, which the pilots told me after landing. It was quite fun since the A318 is a dying breed but I wasn't fond of the slimline seats.

The rarest smallest cutest baby airbus. How many a318s are they? Typically a baby airbus a350.

I took this same Air France Flight in 2019. The odd thing was that when I landed in CDG a bus took me to the terminal to connect to another flight that also used a bus to board.

They no longer have the A318 in their fleet so I doubt it will happen.

Great shot of the CX A350 landing on the parallel runway! Nice that you got to take a flight on the A318 before they are gone. (I love Florence but have only been their either by train or by flying into Pisa)

@@PeterMasella cause the little city of Pisa is the low-cost airport of Florence (served mainly by Ryanair and Easyjet). Btw in Florence there'll be soon the new runway and the new Terminal, much more bigger and better for a city like Florence :)

Hey, Peter, incidentally--- Are you going to be traveling to/from LaGuardia (LGA) Airport on any of the following dates in March (right this very month!) --- MARCH 14/22/23/26/27 ??? I will be in NYC and would consider it a privilege to be able to actually meet with you at LGA! I will be staying in Queens (not far from LGA) with an Unlimited-Travel-Metro-card. I will be able to get to LGA to see you for a brief few minutes...! Please do let me know if you are going to be in LGA during the time frame stipulated. Thanks!
