Baby's Day Out was tremendously popular in South Asia, including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In India the movie was played at the largest theater in Calcutta for over a year. Recalling a trip to Calcutta, Roger Ebert says, "I asked if "Star Wars" had been their most successful American film. No, I was told, it was "Baby's Day Out"..."[9] It was remade twice, first in Telugu in 1995 under the title Sisindri and then in Malayalam in 1999 under the title James Bond. It was dubbed in Tamil with the title Chutti Kuzhanthai meaning Naughty baby. It was also dubbed in Bengali and played at theaters in Bangladesh. It was also dubbed in Punjabi as a comedy in Pakistan.

This movie is special too me. I remember being at Walmart with my mother when I was around 4 or 5. I saw this movie and thought "Yeah, that looks cool" Decided to grab it and go find my mom and ask her to buy this for me. When she rightfully said no. I was disappointed. But it just so happened that I got a bloody nose right then and there ( I was pretty sick throughout my childhood) She took me to the bathroom and cleaned me up. She then realized I got a bunch of blood on this movie and she felt that she needed to buy it now since I just... You know bled on it. I think I still have this movie somewhere in my house.

One of my childhood friends' mother was an artist, occasionally involved in set design for films. She did some work on this film. She also did work on Home Alone. I remember how endlessly proud my friend was that his mother had a tiny credit on Home Alone, which was pretty legitimate pride. But then he had the same level of pride over his mother's part in Baby's Day Out. LoL. I kept hearing "Baby's Day Out" over and over before the movie even came out, because his mother was working on it and thought it would be the next Home Alone or something.

The yellow stuff in the mixer could be meant to be heat resistant contact glue, which is fine, because the stuff doesn't really dry unless you force the air out of it by applying it to two surfaces and pushing them together. It WILL dry out over a period of a day or two, though. We used it to coat the inside walls of generators that needed to be soundproofed. The main problems that spring to mind is why you would be mixing so much of it at once, why you would be mixing it before there are walls or a floor to soundproof and why you wouldn't be mixing it in the sub basement where an emergency generator would be situated. Putting a generator near the top of a building is ridiculous. A product name that I found with a cursory google search showed that "Maydos contact adhesive" is a way to google image search for the actual substance, but in the factory they used to just used to call it "Spunk", "Donkey Spunk" or something along those lines.

@@Maksie0 Wife is barren, husband's mistress isn't and gets pregnant, mistress is brought into the house as a "nanny". Premise for a comedy film: behind the scenes of the creation of the gorilla scene in Baby's Day Out, where the director and producers battle back and forth on how best to portray the stunt: in the most realistic scientific way, or in a cartoony way? For 45 minutes they go back and forth, making laboured version upon version of the same stupid scene, overworking the scene in a Kubrickian way so that it will be the most perfect stunt in motion picture history. They bring in Stan Winston for special gore effects of the actor's dismemberment, and eventually settling on the cartoony bars bending under impact. The film ends with the filmmakers just saying "whatever, who gives a shit"

I need to share one of my favorite pieces of pointless movie trivia with all you random internet peoples. So, apparently Baby's Day Out was very popular in India. It ran in theaters for over 4 months and was the most popular movie at the time. It was so popular that they made an Indian remake of Baby's Day Out in 1995. The Indian remake was also successful and so in 1999 someone made an Indian remake of the Indian remake. The 1999 Indian version of Baby's Day out is literally called "James Bond". It's funny...watching this old review, I can see Mike's Half in the Bag persona beginning to form. It's like poetry sort of, it rhymes. Each pound of Juicy Shaq Meat rhymes with the one before it. Hopefully it'll work. Shaq Meat's the key to all this, really. If we can get it working...because it's a stupider RLM meme than we've ever had before.

Honestly, cartoon violence in live action CAN work if you have the right faces and the right writers. The Three Stooges is a prime example of slapstick perfection.
