Just gonna swap them from the blu ray case to my dvd cases in the intelligently designed b5 dvd box. Way better, will eventually buy dvd cases that have 4 disc capacity so it looks nice & neat.

Same here...got my set this week and hate tha clamshell case...the USA release has the in book style flip cases, but still, dont care for the clamshell. At least the new "Farscape" and "The Expanse" bluray sets has each season on seperate cases.

I was afraid of that. How do they manage to frack these things up. "Oh, YOU obviously don't know the pilot was eaten by rats." Bullshit. You have a physical DVD. Get your hands on one and blow it up.

That’s what I’ve done. I swapped the discs and now have the blu rays in the dvd cases. It’s way better because there’s a box for each season and one for The Gathering. I’ve never had to do this what a mess up by Warner bros.

@@robertt9342 It's because they are just stretching the image most likely. That's why I bought the DVD box set again last month, because it was only $100 for all 5 seasons and all the movies, plus the Crusade series as well all in one neat box. And they all have their own case as well. I've never had a problem with 4:3 screen, as long as your picture settings are good. My DVD's look perfect on my 4K TV in 480p.

There’s an audio language option. But English is the only option in the menu. At least in my copy in Canada. They’re super cheaply made. The packaging is very slightly better than the UK packaging (similar but more plastic pages to not have stacked discs), but discs can’t even be bothered with more than one colour of ink (just black, not even white ink for the text). I love B5 and I’m thrilled to get a physical copy of the remaster, but this is a very disappointing release.

No. It's just the standard def transferred to bluray. It looks no better than the dvds.

I haven’t gotten a chance to play mine yet but if this is true, it feels like a ripoff and I’ll be returning mine

Edit: it’s the same remaster as the HBO Max version, so most live action scenes are HD but the CGI isn’t. Which makes sense

Yes. At the very end of the video. After I’ve gone through the discs. They stuck it at the very end of a very horrible box set.

After years and years of giving up hope this would ever see the light of day, I’m happy with it. In order to achieve the letterbox frame they’d have to spend millions completely redoing every single effect. Never gonna happen. So if 4:3 is all we will get on Blu, then so be it. At least the effects shots won’t be pushed in and the quality worse than Betamax this time.

It’s better quality than the dvds.The live-action scenes are remastered in HD, the CG-animated scenes are upconverted. Also the screen ratio is 4:3, so it’s not as badly cropped as the dvds.
