You caught the jist of it. BxMxC is rap-influenced metal. In fact, a cypher is a Rap Battle. That's exactly what's going on here, except that they are making it like if you were playing a game of Mortal Kombat, where you beat the other characters, then get to the boss level, and beat the boss. In short, Babymetal, Rap battle, Mortal Kombat style. Oh, and Bring Moa Chicken.

Welcome back to BABYMETAL ... you should know by now you can never know what to expect before you listen to one of their songs, they don't do two the same and they blend and mix all sorts in with the metal. You really need to see a live version of this song - they took the roof off every venue they played on their European tour at the start of 2020 with it. 'BxMxC' (consider the x as punctuation, it's BMC) was a Japan exclusive track and wasn't on the international release of their third album, but it went so well when they played it live on tour that the video and song were released as a single later on. BMC almost certainly means BABYMETAL Cypher, but given Moa answered the question "How are you feeling?" in an interview not so long ago with "Hungry, I need to eat fried chickens." I am one of many still clinging onto the belief it means 'Bring Moa Chicken'. I have 'borrowed' this information (again) - "They talked about 'BxMxC' in a recent interview. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. (Typical J-Pop recording has the session singer record demo vocals once the arrangement, lyrics and melody are finished. Then the group uses that demo as a guide to do their recording. BABYMETAL doesn’t record in the J-pop style, they do it like a rockband.) SU-METAL: But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. I wouldn't bother looking too hard for that one personally. I had never heard of Skrillex before seeing that - I wasn't impressed. Look for the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel and follow the guidance in the description of the video you will find there for links to live videos of nearly all their songs that you can safely use for reactions ... and then react to the "Trilogy of Lights" - 'Starlight', 'Shine' (use the Legend M performance - you will see why) and 'Arkadia'.

Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Recently I read through the lyrics again and noticed its depth of the implication. Su is singing about some established style which used to be revolutionary and literally "stylish" but has turned already hackneyed or obsolete. The second line of the lyrics I read "Style breaks rhyme, Chaos provokes mosh" and the third line "Something like Metal Cypher breaking a rule, it is a Role, too". (Whose role it should be ?) Other lines of lyrics are also suggesting some kind of breakthrough or changes of the status-quo. For example, what does the last line of the acapella means ? "Real-Fake speaking, Rusted Chain, Illusion". In addition, in a recently published book "10 BABYMETAL LEGENDS" authored by Kobametal, he writes "in a long lapse of time, BABYMETAL itself may have become a formality and turned into a rigid established notion something like that metal elitists had insisted. BABYMETAL, however, is like a creature that breaks its own shell, repeats casting off its old skin and grows transforming its shapes" [page 99].

Just a quick note: their live band is not necessary the same that you can hear in the studio tracks: only Leda Cygnus from the Kami Band has been credited with a few songs.
