The One (BM fandom) is excited once again with the new 3rd single "METAL KINGDOM" released from upcoming album "The Other One", also a live performance returning to the stage after almost two years was held during this weekend along with two new songs and world premiere, new announcement with more shows in April and later they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour as a special guests. So far no one is having any copyright blocked issues reacting to those songs so don't worry about it, but my suggestion is to stick with early BM songs before jumping to this new era with more mature sound. _Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, and is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride, but either way you gotta be careful, you might lose your shoes and towels or even worse your smartphone just like during latest shows.😰 This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarrists), all of them are males. BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there. In this case they are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. Nice one, thanks! That show (New Year Fox Festival - Legend 2015) was really epic. And that was the proper show closer. Su-metal told that still remembers that moment with the crowd chanting along as one of her favorite moments on stage. She also made this song her personal anthem. Until next time!

Great reaction. This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert and yes, they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. This was the official video, they actually cut that outro short by at least a couple of minutes (with drummer Hideki Aoyama and the Kami Band going at it non-stop) while the girls went to each different side of the stage to shout "We are ... BABYMETAL" with as many of the audience as they could get near to. As well as that long central bridge out to the small stage there were two more bridges at either end of the stage leading to a couple more small stages that they used at various points in the show. About the song itself. 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British Power/Speed Metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version - this performance was all the Kami Band's interpretation of course. I agree with Jake Muller's suggestions of 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Budokan, Black Night for your next reaction, it is very different again but you will enjoy that as well I think, or 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' live at Sonisphere 2014 in the UK for something a bit more like this one.

Babymetal live is best Babymetal. Especially if they perform 2 days at the same venue, the sound engineers will be guaranteed to get the sound perfect. And those on stage, if their is no tour will be 'warmed up'. Chefs kiss.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I am now recovering from the shock I experienced in two BABYMETAL shows on Jan.28 /29. Both shows were amazing !! 😍 The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. For example, you will find videos showing some 17,500 audiences in USA doing the same chanting (even much longer one) at the Forum, CA on Oct. 11, 2019. In your video, Su shouted some words at 07:29 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then. Did we did the chanting last Saturday and Sunday? Oh yeah! of course. I had a frog in my throat on Monday 😄

Im very much into Jpop and Idol music as I am with metal but Babymetal is an interesting one

Their usual closing song, due to obvious reasons. The japanese Moshpits are much less dangerous than anywhere else. Especialy in Babymetal concerts. This is the reson why Su is sometimes called a general. People follw her without direct control.

BABYMETAL's lead singer, Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto, or "Su") first appeared at SSA in 2008 as the youngest member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL. Their biggest show so far was at Tokyo Dome with 55,000 per night, over two nights.
