The original song is track 8 on the album they released in march - there is an official lyric video which is really good too, but the live performances (if you can find live at the PIA MM Arena Clear Night) are special. The figures in white were providing the harmonies in the "whoa oh oh" parts. We can make a good guess at who they may have been, but we don't really know. The fact they were in white with hoods may tie in with BABYMETAL lore and the only other times BABYMETAL appeared in white, which were at times of significant change (or this may just be my own imagination - but nothing happens by accident in BABYMETAL lore). - The first time was for the last two encore songs at their Legend Z concert early in 2013 - the last concert they played when they were a sub-unit of Sakura Gakuin and just before BABYMETAL separated from that group to become an independent band. - The next time was at the start of the Legend 1997 concert in December 2013 which concert was the final step of their transition from Idol group sub-unit and Suzuka Nakamoto sacrificing her life as a JPop Idol to be reborn as the metal Goddess Su-metal (you just watched that performance of 'BABYMETAL Death') and where Yui and Moa appeared in white for the theatrical opening to Schubert's 'Ava Maria'. Here we have Su and Moa as a duo for the last time, the announcement of the original BABYMETAL becoming the stuff of legend and the new BABYMETAL with three reborn metal spirits - Su-metal, Moametal and Momometal - would follow at the BABYMETAL Begins concerts at the start of April and after that another video was released on The First Take with Su, Moa and Momoko singing 'The One - Unfinished Version'.

Wow it seems you're binging with BM today, hopefully you'll come back and share the live version at Makuhari Messe 2023 of this beautiful song, or just the official lyrics will be fine if you got trouble finding that. BM fans already know this type of unique acoustic version like Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 (right before Babymetal Death you just saw) or "The One - Stairway To Living Legend", so we're used to this SuMetal's vocals power to reach and melting our hearts, she's been doing this since she was a toddler. I think the rule of The One Take is that all singing has to be live, so the backing singers that they would normally have on a backing track at live shows wasn't allowed here so they used them in the video. a lot of people are confused to who they are, I would assume they are the singers they normally use in the studio for backing

Hell yes! haha, I love this version, truly showcases Su-metal's vocal prowess. However, the full, live version of this song is even better! I hope you get a chance to react to this. Also, you may like Akatsuki (Budokan 2014), or Amore. Both are Su-metal solos, performed to fast-driving power metal-esque music, and both are epic. 🤘🦊🤘🦊

Another awesome song, arguably with an 80's power ballad feel, is "No Rain No Rainbow" from the Legend XX tour (Su Metal's 20th Birthday concert. I think you would be totally into that as well!

I’ve read that the mysterious 3 hooded characters was to do with the loss of YuiMetal and her replacement MomoMetal. There is an album version with their band. It rocks. I believe the song is about the time after the bombing of Hiroshima (WWII). Suzuka is from Hiroshima

Seriously? To TOTALLY discount Moa and her own vocal abilities is a joke in itself, but to call her a backup singer is just ridiculous. Moa is an amazing vocalist in her own right, yet you act as if she doesn't exist. I highly suggest you react to Headbanger, Moa version, where she sings lead during the song. Yes, Su is the queen and a badass, but there's a reason that Moa is the most popular member of BM. She can sing like an angel, but where she really shines is in her unbound energy, enthusiasm and the way she can grab a crowd and control them.
