My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2002 Ford Bigfoot Class C and tow either a 2014 lifted Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

We use what is called shaker run for our property at the lake. Its real small pebbles and dust. It becomes hard with a good rain. Put it down and spread just before rain. Dont druve on it till it dries. Everyone who works needs a vacation. Filming and editing are tume consuming, especially if you are trying to make it interesting for others. The content i personally enjoy is the day to day life. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good; but all real. Its great that you have a friend who uses your property and can provide security for you. Its a good symbionic relationship. Lifting Tator was not good or bad. It was what you wanted to do with your property. Now that you are a landowner, it might be prident to get either a 4wd pickup or 1-ton van. Both have space to haul. However, i love having a crew cab F350. Its tough enough to pull a trailer load of materials, or a ton of rock, or with the topper on, haul more weather sensitive items. Gas mileage stinks though. Its an old 2009. Even pulls 32ft travel trailer. As far as collections, that is your and your alone decision. I would pick out the ones that have significance, put on shelf like Harley and Camel and try to find a Mickey devoted Facebook group and with their permission, put the collection up for sale thru them. love the Kitties. Cats are the perfect pet for someone like you who is spending time working independently on a flexible schedule. Dogs have to have a routine, a place to play and exercise. And be disciplined like CVKs Woof Pack. im sure some will disagree with me. I love dogs and cats. But to me, cats ate easier. And since im 77years old, i need easy. Love your place. Love your hospitable personality. Live your friends. To have great friends, to have to be one.

I homesteaded on 35 acres and always welcome friends and others to stay as payment for handyman, caretaker and security services while I'm gone. You don't realize how many times you need a 2nd pair of hands until your maintaining land yourself. If I was concerned about it I would simply write a lease.

should only allow if you really trust the person and know they are of good character. worst case i think he'd have to have them evicted, but i really don't have any idea about squatting laws in arizona.. i think someone has to reside at an address for several years to make any sort of actual claims on a property in most states, other than as a tenant. but it's an interesting thing i hadn't considered and probably worth eric thinking about whenever he's deciding who to allow to stay on his property.

If you insulate Babe use spray foam. It seals the cracks and prevents rodents from coming in and using pink insulation for nests. Just a suggestion... 🤔

Like the wooden ramps you made for the RV way better than plastic ones. You could get another type of building that you can turn into a small home. The Babe the Blue Box you could use for buying and selling things. Get another shed, connex house, geodesic dome, double wide mobile home, something easy to make into a home with space. So you can just relax when off the road.

Nice to see you back on home base. It is a nice spot you have. I am not good with "seeing" what you see/show us but - maybe clear more and put the RV where you once parked. Like I said - without being there and seeing your place - just a comment. The collection - well yes what does a person do with any collections? Maybe check on google ( good ole google ) and see what some options might be. Oh that little car.....sad but understand. Replace with something that will be good to use for things around the property and fun for towing as you need it. Small 4x4 or pickup and then a small open trailer for hauling?? Hey you'll figure it out. Your lucky to have someone staying on site - that is a good thing and am sure helps him out as well. looking forward to seeing what all you change/fix etc.

Honestly I’d sell all the collections . That property is ready to be homesteaded! I sold a lot of unneeded stuff I had sitting . You quit looking at it besides a walk by. I planted fruit trees, made raised beds, got some chickens, rabbits . Go off grid . There isn’t much better as far as rewarding experiences go.

As far as your blue building, you could easily buy another and somehow connect them to have a bigger home. You have so many possibilities on that property. Get a Jeep and flat tow it behind your motorhome and expand your videos to off road adventures also, lots of you tube creators to ride along with. You and Kevin and off road vids is what I watch 90% of the time.

IF you think you have about $20,000+ in your Mickey collection, figure out how much you need to repair your rig, get a daily driver truck, finishing out the Blue Box, and sell what you don't need to finance the projects. Just a thought. You have plenty of duplicate Mickey Memorabilia, so keep one rack's worth along with your other collections. That's more than enough to keep the inside quirky, but will allow you to finish it out however yo like it.

@@19Photographer76 I would find a large flea market in my area and go out there and sell the collection to people that are stupid enough to buy that Mickey stuff. I used to collect Coca-Cola and the truth anything that was a limited edition will never go up in value. The old antique stuff does because it’s not mass produced. He will be lucky to get $5k for all the collection including the modern items.

We did it with GI Joe figures ... either you list stuff one by one on ebay or whatever platform or find a dealer that sells similar stuff that will take it off your hands in bulk - and of course then you don't get full value you might have by selling items one by one.

DON"T quit please! When things go south like you have experienced, we then...pause...and re-evaluate the situation as you have done! PLEASE keep the land in AZ. While I am an Arizona Native now living in Illinois/Wisconsin. Show Low is a very popular place and your land will increase in value over time and will be a lucrative asset. You can always count on Arizona weather with sunshine year round! Agree Sell the collection to free up some cash. Your priority is getting that RV back on road for your mental health!! I am glad you have JAX burial in your homestead. JAX is in pet heaven waiting for you to arrive, but I know he visits your home on a regular basis! God Bless Eric!

However you do need a car that can handle you being you!!! You are right you need to invest in your home. Instead of not. That your home my friend. Hey Eric here's a thought for your Onan generator. We were having issues with ours and downloaded the manual and my husband called and talked to Onan about it also. They have great service people. He asked a bunch of questions and had Scott check several things and diagnosed it and then called back once we got the part and talked him through the installation and testing. Enjoy being back on the property and getting stuff done. Sometimes you just need to be at home.

You turned a Smart car into a Stupid car when you lifted it. Life is short and I have lost friends and family members to motorcycle accidents. I sold my fourth Harley Davidson after 26 years of riding. Cellphones in drivers hands are like having thousands of drunk drivers everywhere so having said that. I would sell the Harley and the trailer and then buy the best towable 4x4 Toyota. But you do you.

Well, Eric, you are finally getting some sensibility about you. Most definitely sell all the Mickey collection and stop collecting so much Junk. Also, besides selling the smart car, sell that old Bigfoot rig that you have and go get a four-wheel-drive pick up truck that can handle a fifth wheel trailer And that way you’ll have a vehicle to drive and a place to stay and I think somehow you can figure out doing a rig for the bike. I don’t know, maybe sell that too. Either way if you keep investing in that rig, you’re just gonna keep wasting more and more monies. Get a new rig, or one that is much, much newer, maybe even 2020 or newer. Not one that’s 21 years old.

Collecting is really a coping skill. It fills the cracks of longing for better days. A sign of good mental health is moving through these stages of growth. I have a lot of nice things, turns into I have a lot of things turns into things turning to dust. For healthy folks attachments are to other sentient creatures (friends, loved ones, pets). Spend the emotional energy on the living, they need it and can feed it back to you. Mickey, not so much.

My Onnan Generator was doing the same thing your's is doing. I found the spark plug wire broken inside the boot causing a bad connection I put a new end on the wire and now it's working great.

Yeah, we already replaced the wire all the way through and have tried three different spark plugs now using the factory OEM champion spark plug that Onan originally put in these generators. Didn’t change anything. The unit still struggles under power and throws a 36 code for shut off for unknown reasons.

@@nomadicfanatic i saw someone mentioned something about their same model onan generator needing some kind of firmware update, i don't know if it requires some sort of special diagnostic obd-II like tool but if you've gone through it as far as ignition, air, and fuel already that would be my next step.. likely something going on with the ECM.

You can use an electric pad under the batteries and not heat a whole building. That is what I am going to do. Just came back from Concho. Moved my CONEX into position, finished painting the interior, and had a toliet hole dug and some driveway work done. Most of my pinion pines survived by growing up inside a juniper. I will need to cut the junipers down around the pines.

We did the same in our camper van. We build a foam insulation box, added the heat pads and now we don't have to worry about them getting too cold.

I think the gas heater was because he was leaving right away could not setup the heating pad that quick. He needed to get out of there because his old RV was not protected from freezing. Glad when I bought my Cabin up in Alpine 20 years ago it had grid power didn't have to deal with solar and batteries. Hardly use much power anyway not even worth investing in solar I have a generator when power goes out.

The is what I did for my propane in northern WI, the laws here only allow the tank you have close to the building, i could have a larger tank which qas about 40' from the house. So a larger tank #1, then decide if it smarter to buy or pease a tank. In my case i bought my tank, no more tank lease! ( Look for a used one) Then i pre bought my years worth of propane in the warmest time of the year. ( The prices are lowest then) They deliver as needed. A tank only holds 80% of its capacity, so 300 = 240 gallons of propane. That might be enough for your use.

Idea: a single floor-to-ceiling display cabinet with glass doors to keep the dust out. Rotate your Mickey collection thru the cabinet from time to time. Or just keep a few key things. Or a shelf for each collection. Camel, Harley, Mickey, Jax.

I have a Jeep liberty that I’ve towed behind 4 different motorhomes and I absolutely love. It is a four-wheel-drive and I have taken it off road many times, I call her Miss Liberty and she has never let me down, I think the Liberty is a great dependable tow vehicle and tows really easy. I also have a 12’ enclosed cargo trailer that I pull with it also. Anyway, that’s my two cents worth, good luck.

If you get a pickup that can carry your bike you can haul the bike in the bed of the truck. You'll have to get a winch and some ramps along with a wheel chock you put some wheels on but it can be done. The self supporting wheel chock from Harbor Freight worked for me. The only issue I see is the towing capacity of the Big Foot but I'm guessing it's 7,500 lbs. Good luck with the projects and keep the good stuff coming.

Hey Erik, just my 2 cents!!! Get a truck!!! I bought a 2002 Ranger V-6 in 2007 and am in the process of selling it to my daughter!!! I bought a 2020 F-150 Lariat in 2022!!! I'm a Ford Guy!!! Love the V-8!!! Just say'in, you need a truck for all the projects!!! Just keep doing you and I'll be here to watch!!!

Agreed. And I would have never bought a lifted smart car. Especially since it looked like it had bigger tires put on it, which effectively would lengthen your gear ratios and give you less torque.

here's a thought.. if you were able to pull a compact truck behind your RV, maybe the bike could be stored covered in the bed of the truck. idk if that's really feasible, but it crossed my mind when you mentioned a 4x4 vehicle.

G'd Mornin' Eric, why don't you build a small insulated box for your Lithium batteries? There are several different ways to keep them warm. One is just put one or two 100 watt light bulbs in the box. Another is a Battery Blanket. I was stationed in Alaska in the 70's. We'd have to keep our vehicles warmed when parked, including the batteries. The battery blanket doesn't use that much power, I'm sure your solar station would easily power it. $300 for propane is waaaaay too much, wow. I've been following you, CVK, Mike and a couple others since the beginning. It's been a long ride. I was hoping to travel like you guys but I suffered a serious back injury, had to sell my RV...... I love trees and hate to cut them down but some times you need to. The smaller of the 2 pines needs to be cut down so the other larger pine can flourish and have a thicker and more symmetrical canopy.

I mentioned to you when you acquired the property a barnominum would solve a lot of issues. Start with a pole barn or an engineered steel building with rollup doors across one side. Park Big Foot, build a bathroom and create a space for your Mickey collection.

ERIC, GO BUY A SUBARU. I have a 2019 Impreza. It has over 162,000 miles on it. It averages 29-32 miles per gallon. It is AWD. It is a good 5 star safety pick car. Toyota owns 20% of Subaru. The only things I did to my car is replace brakes, struts, wheels, tires, and I serviced all the fluids and filters. The hatch back base model has advantages with fold down rear seats. I moved all my furnature and belonging in my car to my new apartment. You shouldn't of mentioned how much your collection is worth. Someone will now trying to find it and steal it.

Eric ..order a flowjet or similar macerator that hooks right at you dump outlets of the rv...route a 12v connection port SAE style to the dump area of the rv or just use a 12v battery the flowjet will macerate the black and gray water and send it to the sewer outlet..I have used mine for years and works great...just spray wd40 inside it after using it and putting it away - keeps it working good...handy to have on road too...worth every penny...just need some extra water hose to reach the sewer outlet....even if you move the rv the flowjet really pumps the crap away and does it pretty fast...no need for the 3" sewer hoses all over the place....can leave it hooked on while stationary too....just mt 2 cents worth...

I would say a older 80s 4x4 long box with a motorcycle self loader so you can take both behind you. And have another multipurpose truck for hauling

Look into an older 89-2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee 4x4. Very reliable, easy parts availability, simple to repair, able to flat tow. Room enough to carry things and the kitties if necessary. Roof rack available if you need to carry more. Install a good hitch. Buy old/borrow a trailer whenever you need to fetch something big. If you buy a whole bunch of construction materials, Home Depot or Lowes can deliver for a reason fee. Purge Mickey except for a few unique items likely to increase in collectablility. Same with the Harley stuff. How often are you there to enjoy, does that stuff really provide happiness? No, it is your kitties and adventures. Investigate using a heating pad under the lithium batteries, well insulated box, window, enclosed area/room on the south side to get best winter sunlight warmth.

Don’t sell your stuff if you like it frame off that building and build a add on room. Come off the front side add yourself a front porch. You could get yourself some shipping containers delivered to keep cars and motorcycles in build a roof between two shipping containers for outdoor living space.

Over by the pine trees would be a good place for that pool! Just take it slow and do one project at a time. Sit back for a while and really ask yourself what you want the next couple years to look like before you jump into any more big purchases. It’s ok to change it up! You only get one life Eric!

You can flat tow a jeep. The only thing you need to do is put transfer case in neutral and hook up the towbar. You can get a harness for them that you can plug into a standard trailer plug like it was a small Trailer. I bought a jeep Gladiator for that and I can carry stuff in the pickup bucket too like it was a trailer.

I never knew that it snowed in Arizona? does it get that cold, the area I am in its now nearly winter and tonight is supposed to go down to -1.c. The day time temps were really nice till about a week ago around mid 20's not sure what that is in freedom units.

Get a macerated pump, I’ve had them on my rvs and love them, they pump uphill with a regular hose. Simple and cleaner

Add a skirting around the bottom of your sheds. Put a vent on the ends for air flow and it will cut the heating bill.

You need a pick'em up truck ! save 31 bucks a month with running stuff to the dump.... Go ahead and liquidate the Disney collection it will be ok.....besides.....you have a Bike & a Truck now.... take care ! you did not need that much heat from propane...heat blanket & set your batteries on them build insulated box..... Cool Top Shelf Plant ! you should fertilize the few trees you like...you would be surprised.

Box in and insulate a small portion of the blue box around the batteries. put an electric heater in there with it on a frost watch setting. that way you are only heating a small closet size area.

Ever think of planting more trees? Maybe certain trees (native?) that will grow in Northern Arizona? And how about fruit trees and nut trees for survival? And a small greenhouse to save on groceries, and eat organic? Pinion pines: The American Indians survived on cooked pinion nuts ( KZfaq shows how they cooked them!).

Maserator pump......you can move waste 30 ft or more depending on elevation! I have one for my 5er and it works great!

maybe get another shed like the same size and put it by the road and put a sign out there saying micky mouse collection museum? also why not get a pickup to flat tow and then but the bike in the bed, bam you have both although it will be a pain putting the bike up there and taking it down. I would put all of that collectibles on ebay 1 LOT at a time and get the cash. $300 per month to heat over the winter! Next year, close off a smaller section of the shed to heat the batteries to save $$$-no need to heat that whole shed!

Glad to see everything is going well at the homestead. I have a friend who is willing to sell me a few acres in Yucca Az. It has a new drain field system. It would be a big change from Wa state, nice place to retire 👍
