On those plastic pieces use a heat gun. the heat will bring the color back normally. just don't burn it. It doesn't work on all plastics but worth a shot. use a test spot first

It's actually a ute (utility vehicle), not a truck. (Trucks are much larger, commercial vehicles) I don't know why people in the USA always seem to get that wrong.

I always put tyre protector on too. I was naive about it, for years, but it can make the tyres last longer by keeping the rubber more subtle under the strong sun. I make sure to use a UV resistant version, too.

Agree with brushing everything but the tailgate. I figured it would end with you doing so. If you notice some overspray just wet sand with 3-5,000 grit brother. You’ll be alright man. It will last a lot longer than you think even with just the little prep you did.

Have you looked up air filter for a 2004 ford f-150 5.4L and figured out how to make a flat rectangular filter fit in that large round air filter canister you have? Once you load the bed down or hookup the trailer with bike, you'll feel the difference of 231HP/293Torque(4.6L) compared to 300HP/365Torque (5.4L).

I have those rain guards on my 2021 RAM 2wd Warlock. My kids laughed at me as being corny, but I love them. I can crack the windows when it raining a d get all the great smell, none of thecrain in the truck. Stops window howling when cracked at hiway speed. And- I just like the way they look, so its a win-win for me. My truck is dark gray so they look just fine. Yours look awesome against the white paint. You do you, Eric. 👍🏻

im so happy you found a great truck! i miss my ford f-150 but the newer ones have ongoing software issues that sometimes cuts my truck off in traffic for NO reason.. so, it had to finally go. i got me a 2024 chevy Colorado.. its smaller than im used to (interior) but its a great mid sized truck.

Eric the only issue I know with those motors is a little tiny black hose that kinks really easy. And the spark plugs have been known to blow out of the motor require a helicoil to fix it.and the transmission starts to fail around 150k miles

Hey Eric, I’m not sure if you tried it for cleaning your headlights, but get some bug spray with deet. Spray them and let them sit, wipe them, repeat. It has worked wonders on some old vehicles we have bought in the past with fogged up headlights. Made them all look new! 💯

If I lived out there, I'd have a garage for my vehicles to help keep the varmints out of the engine.

Just sand the headlights. A kit art autozone is like $20

I use a product called Back to Black on faded plastic on my vehicle. It's a cream that wipes on and then you buff it. Works good on flat surfaces, probably not for your grill though.

Order the 20 again. When he arrives, hold a hundred dollar bill up and say "It's yours if I can get you to split it in a few places." 100% he will split it as much as you want. And that is hella easier than doing it yourself with a shovel.

On the headlights , SYLVANIA Headlight Restoration Kit worked great for me .

Your truck is looking good! I watched a video the other day where somebody used bug spray like off to clean their lights. I plan to try it.

For a temporary shine on the grille and the bed rails there is a product called Trim Shine. I use it on all the plastic on my stepdads 01 350. Works like a charm. Just have to apply some every so often.

You can't hang anything from your rearview mirror in Arizona. It's a traffic violation.
