I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and have been enjoying all your videos. I was born in Hefei and lived there for six years, before moving to Toronto, Canada. I am now in the United States for University and don't get many opportunities to go back anymore, but seeing you travel around China reminds me of my time back home, and always puts a smile on my face. Especially your video visiting your hometown, Guangde, brought back so many memories of what it was like riding on the buses, talking to my grandparents (who have the same accent), and seeing everyone live at a comfortable pace. I hope you can make it to Hefei eventually and see how much the city has changed in the past few years, I almost didn't recognize it when I visited a few years ago. The 二线 cities have really boomed over the past decade and I think it could offer a fantastic perspective for viewers to see the often neglected, but rapidly changing cities across China! 欢迎您来多伦多，看一看这里的华人区(北美最大)，日子过得也非常舒服！祝你旅游快乐！

I can't wait for this new series! Your last one was some of the best documentation I've ever seen of rural China! It was very down to earth, but yet it played out like a story book. Yes! This part of China arguably is my latest digital wander addiction. Safe travels!

1) necessarily take with you tire sealant in the event of a puncture - remember to choose the right one for the used tires + something that would help you inflate the tire. There are sealants available with compressed air, but again you need to check whether they fit your tires. 2) sensible flashlight, not some crap - your health or life may depend on it, there is no joke here 3) sturdy waterproof jacket, preferably collapsible 4) silicone cup/bowl - they are collapsible and take up little space 5) water bottle + rusks (iron portions, not for use under normal conditions, and may you never have to use them) And : 1) a *PAPER* map of area, not just an electronic one 2) a cash, electronic payments are useless when everything is falling apart In addition: 1) aspirin 2) activated charcoal for poisoning 3) plasters 4) powerbank with solar charging capability (they are weak, but better than nothing) What you are planning is, again, no joke: this is a long trip, and you are riding a hilarious scooter, take the matter seriously. Before leaving, a full service of the scooter at a trusted workshop. Replenish fluids, check filters, oil etc. Do not take any liquids except water, for example, if you spill liquid soap on your clothes, you have a problem. Put all clothes into plastic bags (thick garbage bags are good), don't believe in the tightness of the trunk. Don't count on fluke, it ends when the trouble starts.

When I was young, I hiked from Yunnan to Tibet. I miss Yubeng Village, the snow-capped mountains of Deqin, the French wines of Yanjing, and Mount Nanga Parva. There should be a highway now.
