DISCLAMER: Please don't attempt fasting without checking with your physician. Especially if you have a medical history or a history of an eating disorder. Your health is more important then following a random girl on youtube ❤️ This video is based on my personal experience, fasting might not be a good fit for everyone.
Alright week 5! Looking at it objectively this week would have not been considered a success. . .but personally I think I'm doing well :) I don't see weight loss as the marker for success. While I still hope to lose a couple more pounds it's not my most important goal. What's more important is my relationship with food, my energy levels, and my moods and so far all of those have improved.

Your happiness and love for yourself in this video is beautiful. I carry my weight in the same area, it's super frustrating. I am also doing OMAD, but I also mix it up with 20:4 and 16:8. Honestly it just depends on the day which one I will choose lol. I hope you feel the happiness and love for yourself from this video every day. Much love. Keep posting vids. Love them all.

Keep going...!! I've been doing OMAD since August. Not too strictly..i have a smoothie and/Or banana for brekkie...have my healthy, nutritious meal for lunch....then evening only have a few nuts or rice cakes IF I'm hungry...saturdays i eat what I like whenever I want to and Sundays kind of go back into OMAD. I've lost over 10kg and never felt better. People are complimenting me 😍😍 also drink plenty of water...i like to drink warm water as much as possible.

Hello RAH! I just found your channel by accident. I really enjoyed watching your video. My wife battled for years with her weight. She is a very beautiful woman. But telling her was not enough. So, I just had to let her do her thing. I see you enjoy acting. My wife was very involved with the local theater for many years acting and directing. Your struggle and real life experiences drew me in. Love to hear you talk and you are a very beautiful young lady. We often times don’t see the beauty in ourselves like others do. I think you’re doing very well, you’re very bubbly, positive, loving and upbeat. Thanks so much for sharing and I look forward to watching more of your videos! I smashed that subscribe button and rang the bell. Take care and stay healthy dear! This is Dave DaBomb… Over and out!😎🌹

I gain 10 pounds for than and I’m currently maintaining my weight by doing fasting 16/8 2 meals and 1-2 OMAD a week. Feels great. how about giving yourself a bit bigger window for eating so you can eat two lighter meals instead of one bigger? from what I read I think it's better to eat during the day, than at night, but that is individual probably. And you probably know that your hunger is mostly controled by hormones, so that's why we are usually hungry at the same time every day, so it would be probably easier for you to try to find a routine and eat at the same time. happy for your progress you are doing and looking great!
@theadventuresofrah
@theadventuresofrah 3 жыл бұрын
Yea I think there are days where two lighter meals make more sense. I’m still experimenting to see what works best for me. It’s hard to sometimes with my always changing my schedule but I think I’m understanding my body needs a little better.

Good job!! It'll get easier and all will fall into place. I've been on this journey for 10+ years and just now realized that woman need to fast in a specific way to keep the hormones normal. Take a look at Dr. Mindy Pelz and her videos talking about what days to not fast more than 15 hrs. You can lose your period and stuff :-/ Also.. are you in NYC? It looks like summer girl. Looks so nice! Man I miss Manhattan :)

Theres plenty of evidence to suggest that women should have a break from fasting around days 12-14 and from day 21 through to day 1. This is to do with Lady hormones and the need to build either estrogen or progesterone around those times, where you should be nourishing that production. You're not going to break if you fast through those times but you may find it harder and be more snacks, and over time you may develop a hormone imbalance which would become noticeable. As with all this stuff you should work with your own body.

@@cerencura day 1 is first day of bleed. These numbers work with a standard 28day cycle, but unless you do specific hormone/temp tracking, will suit most women.
@curiousobserver4525
@curiousobserver4525 3 жыл бұрын
@@theadventuresofrah yeah, one of the most comprehensive resources on this is Dr mindy pelz - KZfaq and website. I dont agree with everything she says, but she's presented quite a bit on the theory of scheduling fasts around key times in the menstrual cycle. Also Dr berg has a couple vids on menstrual cycle timings from keto/fasting perspective. Beyond that you'll find mostly odd articles across the interweb. Research studies are scant, its mostly patching together what is known about hormone demands during the cycle (particularly estrogen and progesterone), effects of reduced hormone production and natural methods/foods that support the hormone cycling and when you would benefit most from those methods/foods - which offers days 12-14 and from 21-day1. From there the anecdotal evidence is overwhelming. I came across the concept after consistently having issues at the 3 month point with keto and also what seemed to be random issues with fasts. Once I realised I was ignoring my body, with this idea that one size fits all the time every day, I started playing with changing up fasts and diet around my cycle and haven't looked back. Once I got through all the psychological BS of not quitting, doing it right, sticking with it, hitting this goal and that etc, I actually became a lot kinder to myself and now I'm constantly nourishing myself, sometimes with food, sometimes without it. As I speak I'm on day 5 of my cycle and 40hrs into an undetermined fast and feel great. I'll probably break the fast today at some point when I get hungry. Working WITH your body definitely makes it all easier...

Rather than trying for one large meal a day, break it into 2 smaller meals during a 3-4 hour period. For your first meal have a lean protein, possibly a pea protein with collagen shake. After a couple hours have your meal.
