Wow one of the best flashlight review I have ever seen! Just ordered the SC600fc MK IV PLUS. Same as yours but 4000k color. Can't wait.

I actually own two of the SC600w MK IV Plus. They are exactly the same minus the frosted lens, 4500k color temperature and slightly less CRI. They are my prized flashlights in my collection, and I do own several. Thanks for making this video review as it is fantastic! You might be wondering why I bought two of them.. My answer is, good things come in pairs. One I can keep nice and new in a box, the other I won't get to upset over if I scratch, drop or ding it as it will be my workhorse EDC. Zebralight makes the best flashlights with ultra efficient drivers!

Very good review. I've recently bought H53C, my requirements were different: headlamp, not warm yellow or cold blue light, AA NiMH battery, something like 300-500 lumens should be enough, hotspot+spill. Usage: walking in the dark, occasional camping, emergency bike light (so i don't need 500+ lumens), occasional cross country skiing, not EDC light (I have Fenix E05 for that, it weights nothing). I will likely program G6 to sub 150 lumens, it seems as a good idea. Maybe there are little things that can be better for me: - beam shape is circular, I would prefer weaker light upwards and more light downwards (minor issue) - i don't like short click for high mode. It's easy to turn it on instead of moonlight by mistake (maybe i will get used to precise timing) - beacon modes seem confusing (just started to experiment with them, but i never needed them) EDIT: headband is horrible :-( it does not hold lamp firmly enough, but I i guess it can cause blisters on forehead at the same time (at least red dents) What I like is color temperature and six intensities, surprisingly even L1(1 lumen) can be enough for recognizing the path and M2 @50 lumens seems almost too bright - which is surprising, I think my old headlamp was 50/85 or 80/150 lumens, but i guess with a bit wider beam.

Zebralight started with only a right angle 18650 headlamp, the h60 a while ago. The smallest then with great user interface. Then they made a first ‘regular’ flashlight. But they used a SideClicky. Their headlamps start with an H. To me the numbers mean little. But their 18650 lights (18mm diameter, 65mm length, 0 for round battery) all have the 6. Their (AA lights have a 5 like in 14500) and their cr123 sized lights used 3 as in 16340. F means floody. W means warm (4-4.5k). There’s still more to it but than you will fall asleep…. They are known for totally flat regulation and thus very accurate runtimes. Low parasitic drain! and a highly customisable ui.

I've never had mine fail. It could be a hiccup with yours. Manufacturers, even the best ones, aren't always perfect.

The protected 18650s will not fit.

Can't decide between SC600W and SC600Fd

Have SC 600 FD III PLUS. Driver is bad out of the box. Goes thru all sorts of crazy modes. High will only stay on about 3 seconds then dims to low. Horrible. $100 light that never worked properly
