I was thinking of something like this to export videos to from my Android which does not connect to WiFi. Do you think I would be able to load the app onto the flash drive, then transfer it from the flash drive to the Android? Sorry, I'm technologically challenged, but I'm trying to improve.

I have a Galaxy J3 Emerge Android phone. I bought the dual drive m3.0 128 GB and found it won't plug into my phone. Can't figure this out. Seems the drive has two little prongs sticking out and this is what is preventing it from plugging into the phone. Can you help?

Thank you for for video. After transferring all my text messages onto Sandisk, it asks how do I want to open the file. I tried opening it up in Word but it comes back as unrecognizable gibberish. How can I view them?

Pretty nice. For my pix/videos, i upload to dropbox via the app automatically, then every so often i'll download from dropbox onto an external drive on the pc, then delete from dropbox & phone

Sweet. I'm not a fan of cloud storage myself. Well not as the only form of backup anyway. I usually backup all my photos and videos to an external hard drive and put it in my fireproof safe.

I cannot confirm 100%. If the phone has a micro-usb port, it will work. I think the S9 has a usb type-c, but I don't have one to test it out.

Can someone help me im using that same drive the 64 gb one i put it on my samsung a10 with 32 gb, I downloaded every sandisk app and checked what's wrong with it and nothing worked, but it worked on my computer and my dads computer I think its because of the phone storage or not compatible in my phone

Thanks for the tutorial. It was very helpful. I noticed when I move my photos on my phone to this device it doesn't keep the original date. Instead, it shows the date I moved them instead of the date the picture was taken. Do you know how to move and or copy them while retaining the original date of the photo?

I've seen that too. Since it's creating a copy of the photos, it's literally "creating" a new version of the file, so it will take the creation date instead of the original date. Pain in the rear.

@@CappTech I see. I used the "move" option though, not the "copy" option. That's what confuses me. Perhaps it doesn't differentiate in that regard?

Just plug the USB stick into your computer like any other thumbdrive and copy/paste.

As long as you can change your storage settings under you camera settings to the USB drive, yes.

It will put in any phone my phone is lava iris x1 it is not accepting SanDisk 32Gb pendrive plz tell me it did not show me I put pendrive in my phone & SanDisk memory app ask 2 option one is check again or buy then I press check again it also not working plz tell me the solution sir

I have no experience with a lava iris phone. I would contact sandisk support to see if there is something specific you have to have. If it's Android or iOS based, it should work though.

You mention its a USB A/C? I have one and its a USB A/Micro B connection. SanDisk don't appear to offer a C version of this particular Flash Drive in the UK. To fit my Google Pixel 6 Pro I have had to connect the USB-A via a C adapter . It works perfectly. Its a great Flash drive especially when used in conjunction with the Memory Zone App but as reported by many reviewers it does get rather hot during use.

USB devices get hot when a lot of data is being passed through. Same thing with standard hard drives.

I am petrified of deleting something I shouldn't. I now want to delete as much as possible FROM my phone - A. how can I make certain everything I need from the phone is now safely saved onto my computer? B. Do I need to do the same thing to the disk in my phone? C. Upon transfering everything TO my computer (in order to free up space on my phone) Can I just delete everything FROM the disk/thumb drive? or does it need any of that information in order TO save things in the future?

What happens when your phone is not recognizing the device when you plug it into the phone? I can't find OTG on my phone or in settings. Simply, nothing happens when plugging in the device. I downloaded the Memory Zone app and it says it is not recognizing the device.

You should be able to yes. It's just a USB drive, so if you can have enough space on it to store a movie, then you can load the file on your android phone.

Hello! this is one of the very few reviews we have on Sandisk ultra dual drive m3.0 USB 64GB. I do regret buying this product because it has a very very, really low write speed. I was expecting you would do a speed test. When i called the service centre they said we dont guarantee you on the write speed!! which is pretty pathetic on their part. I regret buying this. Nobody tells you about the speed when you are buying this. Not many know one should check this first thing. It is quite expensive for speed that low

150MB/sec isn't that slow really. That equates to 1200 megabits/second. Yes it isn't the maximum speed that USB3.0 can handle, but it's still much faster than the USB2 speeds. The phone I'm using is the Galaxy S5, which does use a micro usb 3.0 speeds, so it can support much higher speeds than this USB device can write to. So you are correct that it isn't the fastest. But for under $20 for 64GB of storage, that's ok with me. I just set it to copy all my media and set it to the side. But again, I do understand your plight. Thanks for watching.

You got an adapter plug with your phone when you bought it that will make the connection. In fact you got 2 white adapter plugs.

If you want it to be easy, yes. You can technically use it to manually copy files over, if you know how to navigate the Android system files and whatnot. But it's far easier with the app.

@@CappTech the phone I'm backing up had a ghost touch issue so I can hardly navigate thru the phone without it acting stupid as is.. and there's no internal space to download a app on it thanx to the phones apps that aren't able to uninstall the useless phone apps.. can you show how or tell me how to do it without the app?.. especially when ppl say it isn't being recognized.. what do you do if that happens?..TIA

Well the device is USB 3.0 capable, so it can write up to 150MB/s, but that depends on the device you are copying from and what usb port it uses. Or if copying to/from a computer, it depends on the read/write speed of the drive and the usb port on the computer.
