In this video, you will learn about the deadliest organism in the world, bacteriophages, and how they might be the solution to one of humanities greatest medical challenges, antibiotic resistant bacteria. This video will describe what bacteriophages and superbugs are, and then look closer at
the functions of bacteriophages, how they interact with our cells and bacterial cells, how bacteriophage treatment is done and can cure serious infections, and finally some limitations of the technology. While doctors and medical researchers have been puzzled by superbugs in the past, this new promising technology might be the solution that we’ve been looking for. With new research, bacteria may be reduced to an afterthought when thinking of dangers to humanity.
